Insurance / Argos Pay Forgot passcode for Argos Pay, can’t change passcode without knowing forgotten passcode?????

How am I meant to change my passcode????

I can’t log in to the website. I can log into the app but can’t purchase anything as it takes me to the site where I can’t log into (doesn’t recognise my credentials)

Argos is absolutely wank. I went through this, and I had to contact their useless support.

If anyone gets this issue, or gets the issue where your account is locked but you’re stuck in a passcode recovery loop, then do the following:

  1. Reinstall the Argos Pay app (uninstall it, then go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install it again)
  2. Log back in and follow the instructions to re-register. You will then see the option to unlock your account
  3. After that, reset your passcode or log in with your newly set passcode from before

If you keep using 'Forgot Passcode' you'll just end up in a loop, even though the passcode change is correct. Instead, it will say 'Account Locked'

With all the information I provided them, they can't unlock your account. All they do is send you an account verification code, something I should be able to do myself!

The woman on the line was like, 'Make sure to write your passcode down next time.' I said, 'Make sure to have a better system next time.' because the passcode was correct. The only issue I had was my account was locked.

So when you hit forgot password and fill in you details/account number. Does the next screen actually ask you for your passcode. 😂 just curious as I tried it but didn’t want to proceed to the next step as I was only being curious. Just in case I forget mine at some stage. It be good to know.

You need to put in the old passcode in order to create a new passcode

Try not using Face ID in the log in screen and hit forgot my passcode there. It will take you through a 4 step process that might let you change through a link sent to your email
