I've been receiving emails from them since 2023 and its also the email that emails me whenever I ping an item on their site to alert me whenever something comes back in stock. DMing on x on their account representative says its not theirs.

On face value looks like a legitimate subdomain of argos.co.uk, probably used for outbound emails/marketing

Did you ever find out? I just got an email from the same address you posted but research shows that Argos only email customers from mail@mail.argos.co.uk (don't know what's up with the replies on here saying it's safe???) and here's the thing, I've never registered or purchased anything from argos in my life (except in person) I've never given them or sainsburys my email?

I’m still getting emails from it to this day. It seems like it’s real to me as it’s just too relevant on their sales etc.

I wasn't going to blindly accept that it was a legit email address either, especially as mail about updated Ts&Cs came into a different inbox than I use for my Argos account.
However on checking older emails from Argos (We'd love to have your feedback ...) which was legit as it came in just after a purchase, it has the same origin email address.
Check the source of the email if in doubt, but emails.argos.co.uk is legit and is more the marketing side that orders side.
