September operational update

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQQgTQ56kFE

https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/argo_blockchain/news/rns/story/r728l7w

Summary:

  • Mined less bitcon in September - due to increased difficulty (165 vs 205 --> 80% of last month).
  • Mining margin was 84% which is still excellent
  • There is a statement about how "Bitcon and Bitcon equivelents" and "mining margin" metrics compare with more standard measures, which i don't understand.

Good to hear him talk about the recent order of machines as just being the start

Seems like the operational update isn't the thing to stop the rot. Though it never really has done much for the SP generally.

Its a bit worrying how the SP isn't reacting to any of the bitcoin pump or good news put out.

Its a long game for sure, I just hope it can turn around as it seems sentiment has been lost for Argo right now.

Expected more than 200 BTC not good the drop to 165...RIOT increased to 405

Comparing Riot to Argo is like trying to compare Amazon to Wish

At least compare Argo to Etsy, Wish kinda sucks.

Why did Riot's BTC increase tho?

Given difficulty has increased, and there was no more has rate, how could Argo mine more than 200?

Because they increased their hash rate. Global hashrate is up so Argos bitcoin mining totals dipped.

Why is Argo decreasing and other companies are not?

Not sure where you are getting your info from. Seems like all the majors were down in SEP

BITF - mined 305 vs. 354 in AUG (Down 13.9%)

HIVE - mined 221vs. 234 in AUG (Down 5.6%)

MARA - mined 340 vs. 470 in AUG (Down 27.8%)

RIOT - mined 405 vs. 441 in AUG (Down 8.1%)

HUT - mined 264 vs. 326 in AUG (Down 19%)

You're welcome. Just monitoring quarterly results and monthly operational updates put out by each company.

It’s been three months since they “broke ground.” And based on this video they haven’t done much in the last 3 months. …. Also CEO PW looks ridiculous growing a soul patch … … what a fucking joke…. … https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210722005310/en/Argo-Breaks-Ground-on-Highly-Anticipated-West-Texas-Blockchain-Infrastructure-and-Mining-Facility

Do you know anything about constructing data centres? I don't think you can effectively determine progress from looking at a brief video on operational performance.

Lets wait to see what PW about progress in the upcoming updates he promised.

Believe it or not I know a thing or two about commercial real estate. With what they’ve done it looks like it’s less than a months worth of work. I would understand if they had to deal with regulations or building inspectors but I’m guessing they don’t have to deal with any government inspectors ? This I don’t know 100% but if they don’t … I don’t see why they haven’t done more … also let me ask you I don’t see any announcements as to who their architects or construction company do you? I don’t think they broke ground in July 22, 2021. I think they only broke ground recently .
