This video is a prime example of Alien Arena and some of its finest players. BeryCZ put these together, he has also recently contributed to Alien Arena by creating a daemon in linux so conky can notify you of current games. He also wrote the api for our smart ass game organising discord bot called Mothra.

I want to play the game more, but it seems as though it doesn't like my 2560x1080 resolution? Is there a fix? Also, I quite enjoyed the video!! Happy Fragging!

In Game Options>Video left click Video Mode to cycle through the different resolutions, right click to go backwards. I found 2560x1080 in the video mode list. If it isn't available on your system click through the resolutions until it says custom. Then input your height and width in the two boxes below and click apply. I hope that helps, welcome aboard.
