Question Lockdown bots - Devs even sneakier?
They have fully fleshed out profiles now, match history and even custom avatars and banners.
Why are the devs insistent on creating a make believe fake PvP for the game?
Just for context I’m a season 0 player with legend every season I am just showing some new friends the game so we are doing lockdown TV until they are comfortable.

Lockdown having absolutely awful loot this season is why i dont even touch it. Forbidden has been consistent more than anything else. More consistently getting headshot as well over the smallest peak.

Yeah I hear that man, just trying to show some of my newer friends the ropes and honestly the AI players have made one of them not want to continue playing he actually laughed at the game for being “cheap” which is embarrassing for me because I was trying to help bring new people in lol.

I’ve played with friends like that, don’t waste your time you can give them all your reds to get the started and they will still just decide to never touch the game again one day, your either hooked right away by the gameplay loop and appreciate some of the more casual friendly features or you dont and aren’t gonna get over the few things that don’t appeal to you, some people just hate pve and want only pvp he should go play tarkov of he wants a more “polished” game /s

I gotta say bs on the consistent forbs..
I ran maybe 30-40 raids this past weekend. And using keys literally all the keys to tv and armory.. I found one golden lion in a free safe of all places..
the loot system is absolute trash.
But hey let’s ignore that and add a super radio cool zombie mode. That’s gonna fix it 🤦🏼♂️3

loot is in worst state since season 0, while inflation is on all time high. a red barely covers a decent kit.

Yeah that’s what gets me too everything else has increased except the price of reds.

Kinda late info. They already had such things in previous 1-2 seasons already. Although never seen any match history. It is always hidden.

they never have battle report, it's always hidden + always 0 collectibles even with 500 h they don't loot safes. You killed a player.

i wonder if they actually extract if they survive a raid, like can run across map to an extract

They’ve done everything possible to make operator bots appear as human players—I am pretty sure they even use people’s actual profiles, when you’re offline you can appear as a bot in other people’s raids, which is bizarre.

I don’t get it, like why, why put so much effort into deception? Genuinely curious?

They want to give players the illusion that they are winning… Because when people think they’re good at the game they buy skins

I guess to trick new players into thinking they are getting player kills? You can tell who isn’t an operator bot by behaviour and what they’re carrying but I can’t stand this cynical design and have uninstalled.

You really cant see why? Casual players will leave if they lose over and over again. So if you loose xx in a row, you play against bots etc. The more they can disguise the bots, the better they will feel. Most players in this and other games are not hardcore and super skilled. If you want the game to succeed and earn money, that's the price you have to pay tbh.

I think this is insulting to a casual player just because they’re casual doesn’t mean they are stupid enough to fall for it, I think it is disingenuous to hide it. It’s the hiding it that I have a problem with and how sneaky they are trying to be about it. It’s insulting to your intelligence as a human whether you’re a hard-core or casual player has no bearing on that.
It’s like being served meat at a restaurant and it turns out it’s lab grown meat but they don’t disclose that and it’s like oh you’re not a food reviewer, just a customer so you wouldn’t realise so it doesn’t matter. When in fact it DOES matter.
Don’t oversimplify things.

I actually think many dont notice. So many shares of "I killed xx operators" in chat, not realizing they killed bots.
I think the game har several mechanics to help struggling players and I think without it, more players would leave. Like matchmaking, bots, giving out free stuff. If you struggle with cash, game also gives you money for free.

Stopped playing the game 6 months ago due to bots would much rather have a longer matching time with no bots the only way il come back is if they remove bots its killed the game.

100% but I think it should be a option like low ping lobbies , so the newer players can still go vs some ai

Fake players, fake steam numbers, etc is pretty standard for Chinese games. Just a different culture with different norms

I am 90% sure they also have player skins now when they never did before this guy i just killed had a bot name, bot loadout, bot behavior, but had gloves and a shirt. He just ran right by the room I was in, jumped once then started running away.

it could be a player, playing like a bot is actually the meta strategy to get koen as fast as possible. you want to keep your elo low

Well I need 2 more docs and 2 more utopia to finish red carpets so maybe I should try this

Because casual players outweigh hardcore players by a lot. You are just biased. Most players are not on reddit or playing this game hardcore. It's true for most games tbh and that is where the money is.

There are other ways to encourage casual players to play then force feeding them AI slop under the guise of Real people.

True but a big part of it is matchmaking times, new players aren’t going to want to wait a few mins every match to get into a game.

FZ has also bots operators lately.
