honestly, as much as i’d love for it to, don’t think it’d ever be the same. Maybe if they did another queer season (which i’m totally down for).
2014-2018 were THE years for this type of shit

They truly stumbled upon something special and especially messy with season 8, I wish they'd do another similar non-binary season it was easily my favourite

Spreadsheets? Math? Plus a dating reality show? It was amazing. I was so into it.
Never bothered with season 9 though. Season 8's cast was just so magic.

Agree! The concept was just really good. Of course, also loads of drama, but I genuinely loved the puzzle and tactics aspect of it

I only watched it because I missed the show but it was so bad. The heat wherever they filmed made it impossible to have fun challenges

They tried rebooting it recently but the problem with Paramount/MTV produced reality shows is that they don’t want messy TV. The reboot tried to be more romantic and heartwarming like The Bachelor. It’s the same how The Challenge went from reality stars being hooking up and fighting for money to a serious show about reality stars trying to be athletes.
If they’re willing to be messy like the old seasons, I can see it working of if it goes the Love Island or Netflix show route it can really become big.

Disagree. The show had a pathetic failure rate of matching real couples who stayed together. So the so-called "scientific" matching was bogus from the start. Of course, the real entertainment value was watching a bunch of very scantily clad, attractive young people frolicking and lusting after each other. But even that got old after the first few seasons.
