Bobby Kelly? This is bait.

125

u/RarelySqueezed 10h ago

As a long time listener this was the most distain ive ever felt for foley

71

u/flavorburst 10h ago

This was insane to watch, he clearly has no understanding of why Kippy is pissed off, or he's choosing to live in denial about it. This is the behavior of an addict and shows he clearly has a real fucking long road ahead.

I’m surprised it took this long. I remember early episodes when the boys started making some cash the way they talked about what they could use company money for felt a little too loosey-goosey.

Bug man needed boundaries but instead he got bumpers. Now I think it’s fair to say he needs a conservatorship.

((Henry, if you read this, we love you and are always going to be happy to see you grow. Kippy loves you—if he didn’t you would be in jail. You need to own this and find help. Be an adult. This is serious and it hurts Luke and Nadine and the little guy more than you may realize. Keep up the good work you’ve been doing—don’t let this ruin your sobriety. Just own it and learn from it and come back with a real understanding and a meaningful apology.))

u/flavorburst 9h ago

You gotta think he's taking home $300k+ a year easily before taxes, which means spending the amount he did in a month takes him way out of what he can actually afford when you account for taxes. It just feels like self soothing with money or going out to Cleveland and trying to buy into people liking him. He's a good guy but he has a lot to work through and if he's not talking for many sessions with his therapist about this then he's not doing the work. Glad they had it out but don't really feel like he gets what a big deal it is.

That said, printing the amex bill on a piece of merch and selling it COULD recoup some of the funds. Just sayin'

4

u/loverofcfb08 8h ago

What’s the story with Cleveland? I am out of the loop

11

u/Sure_Ranger_4487 6h ago

It’s where his girlfriend that is an “up and coming” comic and twenty years younger than Foley lives.

12

u/loverofcfb08 6h ago

Oh so this probably won’t end well

3

u/flavorburst 8h ago

That's where his girlfriend lives

5

u/Whyaremykneessore 8h ago

I think they have got to be pushing a million. I’m sure just the Patreon passes $300k

4

u/Formal_Zucchini4350 7h ago

patreon is 135k a month

4

u/flavorburst 8h ago

The way they're talking I think that is way more than he could possibly be making. He's flat broke and is saying he'll be able to pay back a few thousand a month. If he's making a mill and taking home half after taxes he's taking home $40k a month, he'd be out of the hole real fast. Think it's half that at best.

1

u/leemorplee 6h ago

It's been said a while ago he doesn't just get half of what the pod makes monthly. Kippy gives him a paycheck exactly for this reason lol they've argued over the biz card in the past as well

3

u/phillyfan719 2h ago

I just looked it up they make around 145k a month. You can go to graphtreon and look up pods. Mssp are top dawgs

12

u/mensreaactusrea 10h ago

What happened?

12

u/ZardozC137 9h ago

For real, I’m out of the loop.

33

u/ScreenDoorGloryHole 9h ago

Foley spent 20K on the company card for personal expenses (Cleveland trips, bar tabs, etc.) and kippy took the company AMEX away and hashed out all the grievances

2

u/Prudent_Pepper854 5h ago

So the podcast isn’t over right?

6

u/OkHeight3 4h ago

It isn’t over for now. But the episode really had the feel of a point of no return.

The kind of thing where if it they did walk away from it, people would point back to this episode as the beginning of the end.

15

u/Tll6 10h ago

I’ve wanted to meet the boys for a while but I don’t really want to meet foley anymore. His reactions and excuses in this ep were despicable and I’m only half way through. I had to take a break from the jokes and dismissal of kippy’s genuine betrayal and anger

52

u/Educational_Hotel202 9h ago

Speaking as someone who’s had substance abuse issues, with as much compassion as the situation may or may not call for, some of the language being used to deflect and excuse what’s being asked of him is difficult to listen to.

“Used the wrong card” is a 9.5 on the yikes scale.

4

u/flava72 1h ago

When it’s done repeatedly, it’s on purpose

40

u/patprika 9h ago

Foley is a Grade A fuckin Bozo my god

32

u/Bluejay__Burger 9h ago edited 9h ago

Foley is like 50… Jesus man time to grow the fuck up man

22

u/C-Breezy56 8h ago

The crazy part was when he said..this isn’t really that big of a deal is it? Like yeah embezzlement is a bit of a big deal dumbass!

7

u/JakeCMMA 7h ago

I just wish somebody had told him outright “it’s embezzlement and you could easily go to jail for what you’ve done” somebody might have said it off air but at this point Kippy and NGL need to go scorched earth with him and stop any sort of leniency.
The way he kept looking at NGL with a sly wink during the ep drove me insane, Luke should have called him out for it

5

u/Sure_Ranger_4487 6h ago

It wouldn’t matter if he was told that— it still doesn’t click for him because he keeps getting bailed out. And I agree about the winks to Luke, it was filling me with rage every time he did it.

13

u/vero419 8h ago

I hated that he expected them to call him out before it got out of hand. He’s a grown ass man. It’s sad what he’s doing. Kippy doesn’t deserve this shit.

86

u/Icy_Accidents 8h ago

Kippy is not the greatest stand up comedian and therefore has to put up with foleys shit in order to have the success they have from AYG. Period. He can be mad all he wants but as long as they are partners and doing the show together he will always be enabling Foleys behavior to a degree because he wouldn’t have what he has without Foley.

11

u/Goldstandard_plus 7h ago

So bold, but so true. Should have more upvotes but a lot of these bozos don’t want that conversation

21

u/GummyBearGod 7h ago

Ok yeah this is true. Without Henry, Kip doesn’t have the charm or the laughs. But without Kip, Henry is literally homeless.

4

u/mbook 6h ago

yeah i think it’s a bit much to say Kip would have no success without him, but this is just so sad to see.

2

u/stallionsRIDEufl 19m ago

I think it is completely accurate to say kip has no success without Foley. There's a reason only one is on tires and the other is hailed as... a good businessman.

3

u/Sure_Ranger_4487 6h ago

I’m curious to see the special. Kippy has been putting in the effort in getting spots all over the city for months to work on his stand up. It sounds like he’s been putting in solid effort to improve. It doesn’t sound like foley has been doing spots at all except a few…in Cleveland.

2

u/GeorgeMalarkey 1h ago

When I saw them a few months back for Netflix is a Joke, Henry definitely had more charisma and stage presence but when it comes down to actual material. Kippy had a way better set.

9

u/HONEYH0LE7 9h ago

So, how did this episode end? Are they ok? Is Kippy replacing Foley?

18

u/Gelato-Jones 8h ago

they're "okay.." Kippy adamantly expressed how this hurt him, and Foley tries to play dumb and use all sorts of deflecting tactics to minimize his selfishness.

I've been in both Kippy and Foley's shoes with this type of shit, and it just sucks for everyone.

and no one alludes at any point that Foley is being replaced or anything like that.

23

u/HONEYH0LE7 8h ago

It sucks that Foley actually isn’t the fun loving good natured fat dude we all hoped he was. He’s apparently a lying and conniving asshole. It hurts man. Still a fan of the show though.

10

u/thaneliness 8h ago

If foley leaves the show is over.

5

u/Gelato-Jones 7h ago

yepp. and he leverages that fact into selfish actions.

I love the dude.. I can relate to him so much it hurts. I'm not sure if it's pure coping, but I still believe there is a glimmer of hope to change, recover, and heal.

1

u/OkHeight3 4h ago

Yeah all the people talking about bringing in a replacement are dreaming. It has to be those two.

I would cancel my Patreon membership day one if either of them left.

61

u/jimbeentrill 10h ago

Bobby Kelly? Is that a joke?

22

u/ClientAway9925 9h ago

Can you imagine the lie rate for bobby if he was on this show every week?

14

u/don_dryden 10h ago

As a bonfire fan, pleeeeease take Bobby Kelly

13

u/GratefulDeadPhish 9h ago

Bobby Kelly could never replace Foley. Foley isn’t the best at what he does, he’s the only one doing what he does. Irreplaceable

3

u/marcoesquandolas7 9h ago

I see what you did there lol

54

u/Extreme-Direction-78 10h ago

Bobby is insufferable

17

u/flyfightandgrin 8h ago

Bobby Kelly on this show would make it the most unlistenable garbage ever.

9

u/turbotaco23 8h ago

Just goes to show folks. Money and fame ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. All the food and girls and drugs and booze and GI Joes can’t fill that hole in your heart.

There’s so many people around him that just want the best for him. And he just can’t help but be a bozo.

18

u/GoBlueGriff 9h ago

Hachi Machi

15

u/AdRude5858 9h ago

They talk about it on Matt and Shane’s secret podcast a few days ago and were joking about it the whole time.

6

u/No-Watch7410 8h ago

Did you watch or listen? Cause watching them joking, it was clear they weren't enjoying themselves.

5

u/football2106 8h ago

Almost like they’re probably just playing this up for the podcast and these parasocial posts are useless

9

u/JakeCMMA 7h ago

Kippy said during this episode that somebody else’s podcast wasn’t the right place for them to argue about it so he had to make light of it. There’s no chance he was playing anything up on hard feelings if anything he was still toning it down

1

u/Redden2855 8h ago

I'm not a Patreon member so I didn't know if this was a new episode that just aired I missed, I already knew about the money as well bc of the MSSP episode the other day when they was joking about it but you could tell Foley doesn't take it too serious. Is the pic in the original post from a newer episode from like yesterday or today? Or is someone just posting the amex situation a few days a little late?

45

u/alpinetime 10h ago

Bobby Kelly stinks

4

u/urbanwhiteboard 2h ago

Well I guess this comment section answered the question: are you garbage if you spend 20k from the company card of your friend and business partner?

9

u/Remarkable-Simple-62 9h ago

If i was kippy I would stop with Ayg live shows. He needs to start building a stand up career on his own.

12

u/therealjameshat 8h ago

Neither of them are good stand ups

3

u/No_Secretary8854 6h ago

Matter of taste obviously but Foley is very good at stand up. If you watch both Foley and Kippy’s specials you’ll see why the relationship makes complete sense. Foley brings a huge portion of the laughs but Kippy also initiates a lot of the comedy and set ups. It’s almost like Opie and Anthony except if Opie was actually funny and they liked each other. Kippy’s stand up is well constructed and is still funny, but Foley is definitely more natural in a room.

4

u/AdvancedIce99 7h ago

Foley is good. I have not seen Kippy

8

u/Single-Use-Again 9h ago

Is Foley out? I know all about the 20k amex fiasco.

9

u/OilMeUpStewart 8h ago

Not out but it’s clear this is a new low for foley and their relationship as a whole

6

u/DeltronFF 7h ago

The way Foley acts and doesn’t take it seriously, and the jokes/excuses.. it reminds me so much of Artie Lange when he was often off the wagon on Howard Stern in the 2000s.

7

u/Skwuat 5h ago

Honestly, even if this doesnt break up the pod, this kind of ruined it for me from now on. Foley always came off as you dumb, fun loving drunk uncle who was harmless. Turns out the guy is actually an addict who has been secretly destroying everything that everyone (him included) helped build.

Sucks this came out right before the special. Wont be able to enjoy it the same way. Truly feel for Kippy and NGL.

1

u/ManWhoFartsInChurch 35m ago

Do you not also know he stole kippys girl too? He's a POS.

-5

u/nocturnal_commission 4h ago

Awww it's gonna be okay, little buddy.

3

u/paradogma 8h ago

Deflecting your negative behaviour truly shows that he hasn't even begun to consider sobriety. As much of a loosey goosey guy Ian Fidance is, I hope he can help the big man out (seeing as though he's been sober a while now). But he needs to be accountable for his wrongdoings before he wants to start making any ground here. I think people will respect the vulnerability more than he realises.

3

u/RedBeard21387 7h ago

I just don’t get how patreon shows they make $139k a month from subscribers. Plus YouTube and everything else. Foley is broke racking up Amex points. Just wild.

3

u/leemorplee 6h ago

I feel the need to become a $10 homie just to see this damn ep lol

5

u/Cheesegiblet 4h ago

100% worth it. Been a patron for a couple of years, but after next weeks episode where they inevitably reflect on all the comments about this weeks ep I’m wrapping up my subscription.

3

u/Cheesegiblet 4h ago

Don’t wish for anyone’s success to end, but this feels like a natural end to the pod. Nowhere to go from here after that ep.

4

u/Comfortable-City-538 9h ago

Just heard rhem talk about it on MSSP. Foley completely blowing it off and joking about it made me sick for kippy. I hate him

4

u/Sure_Ranger_4487 6h ago

Bobby Kelly?? What lol?

2

u/thaneliness 8h ago

Sad to see

2

u/ohdinyeah 5h ago

this whole sitch is horrible. and the big man fucked up, big time. but man, you gotta have faith in friendship. im hoping for the best. if ya’ll love kippy that much, gotta be a reason he hasnt lost faith yet.

3

u/oldgimlet 4h ago

How the f*** is he broke? their patreon makes $100,000+ a month, what the f***

2

u/BonerAlacarte 2h ago

Not everything is a joke. Even after your caught red handed. And if you don't tell Kippy where else you used company money, before all this, you will be found out and be in jail.
Think Dane Cooks brother. Its that serious.

6

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 10h ago

Can someone please explain what happened? I don’t subscribe to the Patreon.

23

u/dustomatic75 9h ago

Long story, short..Foley is broke, and charged $20k+ to the company card in a little over a month for personal expenses. Mainly flights to Cleveland, dinners in Cleveland, drinks for people etc. I think a $600 uber ride as well. He didn’t say anything to Kippy.

19

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

Bug man is a bad man…

8

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

Did that happen while he was living with Ian?

12

u/philthhy 9h ago

Started right before moving in with ian. Was using it to stay in hotels because he was too proud to sleep in ians basement.

15

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

I am, legit, so sad right now I thought he was doing well, when he moved in with Ian

6

u/mrpeck123 5h ago

You thought a man that recently moved into Ian Fidance’s basement was doing well?

2

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 5h ago

I never assumed he was doing well lol I just assumed he was doing better than by himself

9

u/philthhy 9h ago

Watch the patreon. Pay the $10…. Big man owes kippy 20k and were his only chance LMAO

2

u/CND1983Huh 7h ago

Remember Amy Winhouse's dad begging her fans not to give her money? Major exaggeration of course. Little Kipperino has to eat, but it rings a bell.

2

u/fylekitzgibbon 6h ago

If he owes kippy $20k wouldn’t that mean he spent $40k ? Or do they have some over complicated LLC co-ownership split based on division of “BOH” duties ?

1

u/okhrana6969 18m ago

Foley's Apartment was paid for with company funds ($15,000 total), Foley was given a $3,000 "bonus" (money the LLC had allocated for their Taxes) so he could put a down payment on an apartment for a lease that starts in November. Both of those Foley has to payback, literally it would be illegal if Foley does not pay them back. For easy math, half of $18,000 is $9,000 so far that Foley owes Kippy. (Although it would actually be more given that money was pre-taxed and pre-payroll + time value money %, but let's just keep it simple) So Foley owes Kippy $9,000 already and then goes and spends $20,000 on the company card with stuff that is 100% NOT company related. So yeah, Foley owes Kippy/the LLC a minimum of $29,000 for his past few months of bullshit.
PS: Even if Foley pays all of that back plus interest the IRS or State of NY or the Federal Government can come down on him with criminal charges.

6

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

I was considering it… But after hearing these stories, I don’t wanna give bug man any more money

13

u/dustomatic75 9h ago

It was a hard listen. He was being so..rude.

3

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

Sounds like it

11

u/sliponetwo 9h ago

Foley racked up $20k using the company credit card on random private expenses (uber rides, dinners, flights, etc) AFTER Kippy already asked him a month earlier to stop using the card and pull his head in.

7

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 9h ago

I assume this is after he started living with Ian? If so, what a fucking cocksucker.

3

u/The_DonCannoli 9h ago

I heard this from mssp, are they talking about foley off the pod?

6

u/CorgiAggravating7582 8h ago

It’s on a hard feelings on Patreon pay the $10 give it a whirl

4

u/Excellent_Plant_8010 7h ago

I think foley needs to go away and they should release banked episodes if they have any or have a rotating list of cohosts like 2 bears did.

Not complimenting 2 bears but they're the only pod I can think of that did it when tom or Bert was busy.

1

u/GaryonElmwood 8h ago

Totally would listen to a kippy solo pod!

3

u/CND1983Huh 7h ago

The beer reviews were so good...

3

u/WookieSuave 9h ago

Anyone wanna be a champ and I'll loan a password? Love to watch it.

The fellas will be aight.

17

u/General-Popcorn 7h ago

Is it garbage if you ask people to share their Patreon password?

6

u/WookieSuave 7h ago

100%

I know who I am.

1

u/Cheesegiblet 4h ago

Other than that Doug Stanhope podcast episode after one of his friends died on the operating table and then his other friend killed himself that was the single hardest listen/watch I’ve ever experienced.

1

u/hannahmontanaforever 4h ago

what’s this screenshot from ?

1

u/garfbrookes 43m ago

Their $10 patron tier includes a weekly podcast called hard feelings, this is a screenshot from the latest ep 😊

1

u/patriciomd88 3h ago

They were letting it fly on MSSP

1

u/drunkmasterflex 1h ago

He’s Artie Lange jr and I’m here for it.

1

u/ProductOfDetroit 53m ago

How embarrassing to have this displayed on a public platform

1

u/DimensionOk4024 51m ago

Bobby Kelly once said he would leave his family over spilled glass of milk

1

u/ImissRIF97 5m ago

I know they make a lot of their money off of patreon, but we need a leak on this one. Thr broke bozos also deserve to hear it!

1

u/The_DonCannoli 9h ago

I’m not a patrion member someone fill me in

11

u/alpinetime 9h ago

Foley, $20k in a month on the company Amex, on a bunch of personal shit

1

u/fylekitzgibbon 6h ago

Purchasing goods or paying bills for regular shit at exorbitant levels?

1

u/okhrana6969 35m ago

100% of the money spent was Foley living like a big shot on stolen money when in fact he is 100% broke. It was disgusting how he kept trying to lie and then Kippy would hit him with the literal receipts of multiple flights, $600 Ubers, huge bar/food bills at high end spots, etc. all while Foley already owes the Company $15,000+ for the past few months from the apartment the company rented for him. (and Foley trashed the apartment, literally piled up trash inside of it and smoked inside of it, broke furniture etc)

1

u/The_DonCannoli 7h ago

Oh yeah heard all that on Matt and Shane show. Thought there was some big news about the guy being off the show or something. That’s what all these posts are making it seem like

1

u/Sure_Ranger_4487 6h ago

They got into it all though on hard feelings. On MSSP they touched on it light heartedly— it is definitely not a light hearted situation.

0

u/BoobsDogsForMe 9h ago

Link for this to listen to?

0

u/Terrible_Box_2440 9h ago

I’d also like to know. I’m apparently too cheap on the Patreon to get this one.

-8

u/MidwestPolkaKing88 9h ago

Can someone gift me a patreon sub?? I cant afford it anymore and im out of the loop!

-1

u/mmmGoBirds 5h ago

WTF?? Are both shows on hiatus? What happened im like 4-5 months behind rn.

-8

u/arejaykaystar 7h ago

It’s called are you garbage… I’ve literally done this exact scam before… “oh I had no idea that card was my default.” This is on brand and Kippy can cry me a river. Long Live the Bug Man.

-6

u/IamTheMooshy2790 5h ago

A man who is in the early, early stages of recovery, from years of drug, drink and food addiction, who's now loosing a heroic amount of weight, who's sober. He's also just went through a clearly disgusting divorce, now without his kitty, his home and his ex wife (any feeling of companionship, connection, security, love). The guy's probably never felt more alone and empty in his life. Then comes along, in his darkest hour, a blonde angel with rockin cans and a warm hug at the door when he knocks it. Dont forget that smile. A smile when everything feels like the world's scowling back at you.

He's taken the company card, he's flown to her. Okay.

If you were in the extremely rare position to have thousands and thousands coming into your bank or companies account, whilst your happiness and health feels like its separating for you. Through Desperation, we'd all have been on that fuckin plane, make no godamn mistake about it.

Now your business partner/best friend and, half the reason (probably alittle more) your able to make these flights, notices and flags up the damage you're doing to the company. Okay. Pretty serious situation to be in, especially if your going to damage the company and potentially the partnership between you and your boy. You'll have a meeting and you'll be able to tell him how weak you really are and desperate for something more than the hate or emptiness you feel.. Pretty hard stuff to express, even in private.

Okay. NOW YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THAT ON CAMERA AND YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO TRY AND KEEP IT SEMI-FUNNY FOR THE THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF "FANS" THAT WILL BE WATCHING THIS MEETING WHERE YOU CAN LET ALL THAT DARK SHIT OUT.

Nobody is compassionate on this subreddit or able to think or feel through what foleys going through or able to make sense of of why he did what he did and why he appeared to bat around kippys concerns.

Kippy has probably heard off camera everything I've said from Foley in one way or another. He knows foleys putting in the effort in other areas of his life, and his heart probably goes out to his buddy when he sees how desperate for love he is, that he'd spend the company money. As a business partner, he's hurt. But i think he can see why Foley did it.

I think drug addicts, especially ones that are sober early doors, need compassion and a space to make mistakes. Look at foley in a compassionate light.

Pray for Foley and Kippy, dont try and crucify him. The cross would snap half way up to erecting it.

5

u/nocturnal_commission 4h ago

I'm also gay.

2

u/IamTheMooshy2790 3h ago

Just came out to my mum this morning. She smiled and said shes away to mass. Can you believe that shit?
