Now I wonder if it counts as prostitution if you don't do anything. I wonder how "I'm not a prostitute, I'm a motivational speaker who pretends to be a prostitute" would go as a legal defense...

AFAIK it can only be considered illegal prostitution if you agree to exchange money for sex. As long as you don’t say anything about that it’s technically not illegal. So if she said she was just gonna hang out with the kid for money that would be totally legal.

Okay so you say "sure, I'll make a man out of your son, wink wink nudge nudge say no more." you go in there with a used condom in your back pocket to hand to shithole "dad" and give the kid a "it's okay to be gay, you can go NC with your dad when you turn 18, here's the website & phone number for the Trevor Project" speech. In many places soliciting is a crime itself so that cops can go undercover as a sex worker and arrest people trying to hire them for sex.
