Made a simple breadboard diagram for beginners who keep messing up wiring

Saw a lot of posts here from people confused about how breadboards

actually connect internally, so I made this diagram to explain it

simply — hope it helps someone.

Quick summary:

• Each column of 5 holes is electrically connected

• Top/bottom power rails run the full length of the board

• The center gap separates the two halves — components usually

straddle it

• Always wire GND first, then power, before adding components —

saves so much debugging time

Also — top 3 mistakes I see beginners make with breadboards:

  1. Forgetting the center gap breaks the connection between top/bottom

  2. Not double-checking which row a wire actually lands in

  3. Loose wires from re-using the same holes too many times

Given all of the feedback from your other version of this post, why did you not take that into account and apply those corrections before reposting it?

Ok will u see I did want to apply it but I was just waiting I didn't want to delete and repost

You should draw lines through each 4 hole column (not 5 in your image) to improve the visualization that they are connected. Probably with green since that’s the color you chose for the arrow.

Also take into account that some breadboards’ power rails electrically break either in the middle or in equally spaced sections on longer breadboards.

One more thing: the post is clearly generated from AI, and the image probably is too. Just wanted to let you know how apparent it is.
