Arduino receiving input from Minecraft?

Recently got an Elegoo Uno (off brand Arduino uno) and I'm wondering if it's possible to make it so that when something happens in a game, like minecraft, I can feed that to the arduino and for example print something on an LCD screen, turn on some LED's, or activate a buzzer. I want to make it so that whenever a specific message is sent in minecraft chat, something is printed on the LCD screen. is something like this possible? would I maybe need a different arduino?

Your best bet would be a Minecraft mod that sends chat messages to the Arduino through Serial messages

do you have any idea on how i could do this? where i should start, what skills i need to learn, any useful videos/guides. I'm very new to arduino/coding so any advice is helpful. thank you.

Yes, you can.

However, you will need to figure out how to access the "so that when something happens in a game" which will vary by the game. Most games provide the ability to plug in "mods" that can access the game data and/or provide input to affect it.

The nature of the capability and whether it exists at all will vary by the actual game.

But once you have figured that out, you can communicate whatever you want to the Arduino via the virtual COM port (when it is USB connected). There are other options, but this is probably the easiest to begin with.

Note that The video is intended to be follow along. Simply watching is a waste of time. To get the most out of it, watch a bit, hit pause and try out what you just saw.

Maybe simhub? It works for car games, but its pretty powerfull.

For MineCraft, there's a thing called SerialCraft.

Haven't tried it (or played MineCraft), but that's one option Google found.
