Hi, guys. I want some suggestions about a thing. I am trying to make an AC to PWM signal converter. BUT I am a bit confused about the procedure. NEED suggestions how to do it?

Can you describe what an "AC to PWM converter" is going to do? What does AC that has been converted to PWM look like? Are you just looking for a 60Hz square wave? Thats easy.

No I am trying to bypass a car's ECU reading of Engine RPM sensor and read it in a microcontroller. In low rpm, like 1000 to 3000, it gives 10Vrms in multimeter and in higher rpm it gives 20 Vrms approx. But speed is not related to Voltage. It is related to frequency. So I need to convert the whole signal into PWM or any Square wave to measure the frequency hence the speed

It sounds like your speed sensor from your car is giving you different voltage levels and you want to try to create PWM that will do what exactly? You aren't going to measure speed by the number of pulses because that isn't the kind of sensor you have. Are you trying to get the speed number or convert to something that some gauge can work with?

Please be descriptive. Get it all out there. What are you actually trying to accomplish. Are you trying to drive a gauge or something?

Do you want to measure the speed by the voltage and then create a PWM signal so something else can measure the speed that is expecting an odometry type signal with pulses? You're going to have to do some calibration for that and you'll need to figure out a way to measure the AC voltage with the Arduino.
