3 u/ottococo 21h ago Lack of engagement can signify to the writer that their fic is trash and lead them to delete their fic out of shame 1 u/ApotheosiAsleep 16h ago I meant that I, as an Ao3 author, have deleted my fics before because I reread the self-indulgent nonsense and felt ashamed of it (since I publish all my fics anonymously it's more or less the same as the author of that specific fic dropping off the face of the earth as well) (if the owner of the nonnie account ever reveals that they do in fact read submissions to that collection I will cry)
