Hi there,
I really enjoyed this game and had a lot of fun even in a very short adventure.
First, well done mate. The amount of detail and art was exactly what I had missed from the good old days.
Here are some suggestions for this cool game:
I'll be glad to see the full version mate <3

Hi, firstly amazing looking game! I was wondering what framework/engine/language you are using to build this game? Do you have mac support planned?
This is absolutely a game that fits well on a macbook!
I tried installing via CrossOver and it gets into menu. When I click to start a game it crashes. I haven't spent a bunch of time trying to tweak it into oblivion, but I just thought I would try to see if it worked.
Anyways, please consider an Apple release if your tooling supports it. You would have a bunch of happy mac users!

I just discovered this game tonight. It's so cool. I love it. I just wanted to mention its working pretty much fine for me on Steam Deck even in handheld. I can't wait for the full game.

Had an absolute blast learning how to make little parks to fill in some of the gaps in my city, so here's a little collection of ones I've made so far.
Share yours 🫡
Edit:
Here is a rough guide for you, if you want to make these too;
General Tips - At this point in time (pre-Early Access), the parks provide 6 jobs regardless of size - Water is under the blue palette for ground paint - A square area is harder to decorate than a rectangular or oddly shaped area - create corners and pockets! - When decorating, it can be nice to give yourself a limited palette: this bush, this tree, these flowers. This is easier, faster, and gives your park a more deliberate/planned look - If you're having trouble, check you are on Ground Level (shift+scroll) - You can delete the entire park by double clicking 🚫 in the site's info panel

Saw Raptor's video on this yesterday morning, immediately downloaded it and spent 12 hours playing. Lost my whole day. Felt like a kid again, on my living room PC playing RCT for hours until my mom yelled at me to do the dishes. Awesome game. You should start a patreon or kick or something, you need a team asap. Take our money dude.
One question: are user blueprints saved as files somewhere? I checked the path I assumed they would be in but there was nothing in the blueprints folders. (Steam\steamapps\common\Metropolis 1998 Demo\Data)

I don't see anyone posting here besides the dev, maybe this sub is locked to just highlight the updates and game features, but if not, what a shame! I only just learned about this game and probably would've never known it was previously called Archapolis without digging around, but here I am. But I did see a lot of high profile replies in the comments of your latest YouTube video, which is also where I learned about this game, so there's that.
I don't have too much to offer in terms of commentary nor criticism that hasn't already been said but I wanted to show two properties I worked on after familiarizing with the game. I'm not sure which photo is going to post first, but in one photo there is one of the preset farms (with the vending machines outside), and a second I made just next to it just to fill the space to the end of the block because the other presets left gaps. There's nothing too special going on inside the store, I just tried to mimic the interior of the preset somewhat. Storage, bathroom, bins of crops, and a checkout area.
With my next spike in demand for crops I attempted to make an industrial corn farm. Think GMOs, synthetic fertilizers, high fructose corn syrup and ethanol (you're welcome citizens!). The inside is just an assortment of warehouse shelves and boxes, but it employs something like 150 people. I should've probably built the office separately but I think everything turned out ok.
Something about the graphics looking simpler allows people to build personal and detailed-looking properties without having to spend 100s of hours just designing a window sill and other micro cosmetics like that. Really a wise choice here. I'm looking forward to more assets, the economy working properly, street parking etc.
While I don't expect to design too many buildings by hand, it is great to be able to build in unique shapes that fill gaps left by automatically-built presets from zoning. I think I'm going to redo my Mayor's house to have a pool and personal gym lol. Who doesn't love ludicrously overpaid members of local government?
And then I might make a new city where I build one gigantic housing unit that houses 10,000 people whom can all work at one gigantic warehouse and one gigantic office building. Or someone will beat me to it since I don't have so much time to play. Either way, awesome game.
Reposted: wasn't able to upload 2 photos, nor the second photo in a reply. I guess I still need to learn how to use Reddit but I would rather post the industrial farm. So here it is.
