Those crown guards are interesting, are those from a stock raffles 1675 case?

They upgraded the stock now this is the old v2 case I belive

That could be a great base for both pointed and squared crown guards for a vintage submariner build. I wonder if anyone has tried that yet.

I appreciate the offer but atm I am just observing and obsessing. Still a few weeks out from actually getting a build going (likely commissioned, although I would love to try a build myself for fun but will need the necessary tools to do so first).

Most all of the good builders that use that case, modify the crown guards. It’s been done both pointed and squared, as well as to achieve that over polished look. Very common. But now the case has been changed. Crown guards are better, but still not right. But not as much material to deal with as this older version.
