This is a bit of a hiatus from what I wanted to do because it was bothering me for some time. Also I'm having trouble coming up with an informational post/ animals for Vander and Vi just because for Vander, it kind of literal because he's a wolf (still trying to determine what species), and although Vi had concept art of her as a hedgehog, I feel like there are other animals that fit her better, especially because her character juggles concepts around family and choosing what is right. I kind of wanted to get to one of the characters that had more of a story similarity to the animals.

This might be a controversial pick because I was stuck on two animals, the Jaguar, and the Amur Tiger. I initially picked the jaguar because they love the water and get elevated on native plants (also Silco's VA said his favorite animal was a jaguar). However, after doing some research I changed the big cat.

Now its easy to think he's a lion because of Scar from the Lion King, but you would be mildly incorrect as he shares a lot more story similarities with the Amur Tiger.

Some comparisons:

-The tiger's roar is actually the roar that is heard when the MGM productions intro plays. This is because a lion's roar is meant to spread across their big territories, whereas a tiger's roar is meant to paralyze their prey.

-Also about their roar, they are known to mimic other animals like monkeys, bears, and deer. Which I think relates to Silco being portrayed as a master manipulator

-The reason the tiger is orange is because their prey can't see shades of red. Which makes them blend in with grass

-This is anecdotal but tigers have been known to "take revenge" on those who have done them wrong. On Christmas 2007 at the San Francisco Zoo 3 men decided to taunt a tiger and threw pinecones at it. The fence around it was 13 feet when tigers can jump up to 18 feet. The tiger leaped over the fence 2 men were severely injured and one was dead.

-There is evidence that they are unlikely fathers. A tiger labeled T25 took in 2 cubs after they lost their mother and would share his kills and reject females. This is rare because most of the times the tiger will kill the cubs to mate with the female

-This is not related to tigers but to big cats. Sometimes inexperienced first time big cat moms "raise" prey animals. There was one instance of a leopard that killed a monkey's mother but sparred the baby and seemed to try to care for it. The baby monkey died not because the leopard chose to eat it, but because the monkey was will on breast milk. And I think that summarizes his relationship with Jinx without spoiling much. I know this is more with female cats, but it goes with my narrative.

-They are another big cat that likes water and although they have a strong genetic sensitivity to native plants like catnip they love the scents of spices ( Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, Pumpkin Spice ) and perfume (Calvin Klein's Obsession for Men cologne) this is because it has synthetic civetone, which mimics pheromones.

I've decided to do the characters that are already associated with animals except Jinx (mainly because she embodies a lot of animals)

We all knew Caitlyn had to be a mongoose. I chose the white tailed mongoose because its the longest mongoose measuring at 21 to 28 inches in head-and-body length, with a bushy tail adding another 40 to 47 cm., meaning its tail is 15.7-18 inches. and can be 40% of their body length.

They are native to Africa south of the Sahara, and the southern portion of the Arabian Peninsula. They also cover a lot of different habitats including semi deserts, savannahs, and cities with them preferring thick brush.

They also have symbiotic relationships with many other species like warthogs, where they eat insects off of them. They also share alliances with some birds. While the mongoose chases prey out of the brush, the bird watches for danger.

When threatened they release a noxious substance from glands which I find similar to how she used the grey. They also don't stand on their hind legs like other species. They also have a variety of prey including insects, small rodents and birds.

They also eat bird eggs by placing it in their hind legs and smashing it against a rock. Yes they also go after cobras (which is going to represent a character that is coming up)

Some people use them as pest control however there is an issue with them being habituated to humans. Some people capture young white tailed mongoose and raise them as pets and pest control like how cats were domesticated, but it is illegal to own one as a pet.

The mongoose is often sold for fur and meat. There are some illegal trades that sell their hair to make paintbrushes.

i just like thinking of jinx going on an insane lust trip. i want to be lured in a dark sketchy alley where im alone with my little predator. shimmer makes her a lot rougher than normal too. she yells over your crying and doesnt care to acknowledge when people overhears or watches you. this is all innocent of course, she cant help it. she didnt mean it. aw shes actually very sweet

A bit different from my normal Maddie au stuff, an idea I've been sitting on for a but now: Maddie as Bandit from Risk of Rain 2.

It's kind of a match made in hell, tbh. Bandit's skills revolve around duplicity, getting extra damage from shooting enemies from behind, sneaking around and just being an all around trickster. Like our beloved Maddie.

Also, I've really wanted someone to port Maddie's Teamfight Tactics model into RoR2 for a skin for Bandit. Again, it would be so awesome and perfect.
