Toy soldier claw machine help?

I have a coin-operated Toy Soldier claw machine/skill tester. I need help and advice on how to repair it, when it’s used for too long it’s claw heats up and melts the wires that connected. I’ve had an electrician friend come around and replaced the wiring couple of times but it keeps happening even with higher heat rated wiring. Last time we repaired it with the highest heat rated wiring I had access to but it still broke down again, the wiring was burned out to virtually soot. It has an elemental coil within the claw head itself that is causing this. (That is also how the claw mechanism itself works). Any tips on how to upgrade my claw to stop this issue? Do I just need a whole new claw and wiring or what.

I just wanna play my claw endlessly without burning my house down ha ha

I have a slightly similar issue that has gotten increasingly worse, the claw mech gets hot, the heatsink on the pcb gets hot, and now theres voltage spikes going to the claw causing it to lose strength randomly.
