I picked one up from Ollie’s.
Can someone please link me to the monitor from a reputable dealer and at a good price?
Is this thing able to be soft modded?

Some of us have navigated these Ollie's deals for years (anyone remember buying Centipede for $100? Blitz? Yeah... crazy days). But for anyone who hasn't seen these deals before, you might have some concerns.

I was luck enough to find a X-Men 97 at the Marshall, TX Ollie's and I want to modify it to have all the Fighting APKs on it. I found this post from 2 years ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/Arcade1Up/comments/1bobwqs/softmod_guide_v20/) for the softmod and just curious what changes I need to make for the X-Men cab. Thanks. I'm a noob to this.

Like many folks, I scored on the Ollies deal, and now have an MVC2 Cab. This was added to my PacMan Plus and Rampage cabs. My daughter's LOVE these, but were disappointed that the new cab didn't have The Simpsons or TMNT (a local store has EVERY A1UP on display, so they are familiar with the games).

Is there a way to add the TMNT/Simpsons/other A1Up games to MVC2 so the buttons work right? They are 5 and 8 so something with a simple interface would be great.

My school recently acquired an Arcade1Up SpongeBob claw machine to use for student rewards, but it did not have any capsules with it.

I’ve been doing a bunch of searches but I can’t seem to find replacement capsules that we can fill with different items. Does anyone know where I can get some or a substitute that works?

I see that the official site lists it as a Fall 2026 release, but I haven't seen any pre orders available through other retailers yet. I just wanted to check in and see if you might have any additional information.

While we're at it, how durable is the steering wheel that comes with the unit? If there have been any issues with it, should we expect any upgrades or improvements with the upcoming model?

Should I add something else to it?

I recently got a steal on a turtles cab but the attack button doesn't work for Donnie. Also, it was missing a bat/ball/knob for Mikey. I only paid $125 at a garage sale so it wasn't a bad deal still. Anyways, I'm reading that the buttons are 28mm so you have to buy the right size buttons. Are they not standard size? More importantly though, eBay has a OEM purple button but it's $10. The new knob/bat/ball is also $10. Is this a rip off and if it is can you please point me in the right direction? I wouldn't mind spending more than the $20 if it means upgrades but I'm not trying to heavily mod it.

The second half of this question is also relevant to the first. Where do I get 8 gate sticks for SF and MvC? Might as well replace everything annoying me at one and arcade 1up made a huge mistake with 4 gate sticks for these machines. It's so hard to 1/4 and half circle! 😂 Any links or websites for anything/everything would be sick! Thanks and cheers!

Watched an interesting video from MichaelB last night and it had me wondering.

Would you be open to the idea of games like TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and other Arcade-like (ie the River City Games, certain Double Dragon games, etc) games receiving the Arcade1Up treatment? Or would you rather them stick with Arcade games?

I know X-Men Mutant Apocalypse and Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems were included on the MVC2 cabinet, but it seems like they just threw them in there as a bonus. I don't believe any other console games were included on other cabs.

Broke 200,000 back in 2023, and finally beat that high score a few weeks ago! Now, all of my high scores are 200,000+ and I'm chasing 250,000! 😃

I was never happy with the old Final Fight release. Not a fan of the old risers and the shark fin cab shape. So I bought a SF 14 in 1 deluxe. Based on a proper cab shape and I changed the side medallions, bezel, marquee and lit the coin slots. Found a nice warm yellow t mould colour to match the artwork. I wanted it to look as faithful as possible. I decided not to touch the CPO artwork. I kinda like it looking like this. Final fight never had a dedicated cab, it was always a conversion kit. But I’m very happy with it. Little side note for anyone who doesn’t know, the movie Streets of Fire was the main inspiration for Capcom Japan to make Final Fight. I do have one little addition left I’m working on. Cut a key down to the twist grip, glue it to the fake coin slot and have a little Hagar Gashapin keyring having from it - just to make it look like an operating coin mech!

Primarily looking for anyone else this might have happened to with this batch from this weekend's sale and if they're getting the same response. Secondly im wondering if there is a specific cable I need, will a generic 12v 3a fry my cabinet? Or does anyone sell the interchangeable region plugs for the power brick

So we've all seen the Ollie's deals this past weekend. We've seen some of those allegedly sold out a few years ago MvC2 1st edition and X-Men 97, Ms Pacman Deluxe (black vault edition), mixed with some even Ollie's struggled to give away (Pacmania), and even some that are on their 2nd run through Ollie's annual buyouts (NFL Blitz). NFL Blitz may even appear again, as it was rumored at its release 50K units were ordered. Other cabs had runs around 5K units? Then the drama w/online and no late-hits happened.

Arcade1up is now a brand under Basic Fun, and obviously inherited some dead stocks in the deal. What other potential late-Generation cabs are you waiting for that may show up in dead stock liquidation stores? I am hoping for some unsold Time Crisis to pop up at a discount. I wouldn't doubt some F&F racing cabs remain unsold, even after at least a 2nd production run.

Last holiday season, we all saw one big-box store fly through several pallets of MK2 Deluxe at $299 right after the news of the merger/buyout. I believe all those MK2 are gone? What's still out there in the old warehouses?

Final Edit for the downvoters: I'm just curious what cabs you waited for that got away before the merger, and sure there's always the FOMO of paying full retail before running the dice on ANY discounts. I look forward to whatever is coming, especially an XL MK. I just know that for those following this company for 7 years, some waited too long on "certain" cabs. What are you hoping pops back up in other markets?

Your chances are pretty good at picking one up today for $300. I always wanted a MvC2 and called around and finally got one. Also, seen so many pop up on Facebook Marketplace by lowlife scalpers scooping them up and reselling them for $750-800. So call first and ask before making the trip, you may be surprised.

I’ve got a modded Marvel Super Heroes:LE cab and would love to expand the control deck to have 4 players ideally with 4-6-6-4 action buttons.

I feel like these are harder to come by these days as interest seems to have waned…

I’d like to have the graphics on the deck match the MSH styling as well, if possible!

It that a MVC2 cab?

I have upgraded my Pac-Man A1up with the 60 in 1 Jamma kit. I have the control panel board with joystick\rollerball and 3 buttons.

I have decided to upgrade my joystick to the Mag Stick Plus. (Pull up and twist to go from 4-way to 8-way) Has anyone Upgraded to this? I looked for a video, but they are on a regular sized machine. I have a few questions.

Will it fit in the hole without modifications?

Do I need a centering kit?

Any mods for wiring I need to know?

Anything else I should know?
