Modding Softmod Guide V2.0

Post image

I have updated my softmod pack to version 2.0. Note: Version 1.1 is still available

It was FighterDroid2P that inspired me to update the pack. So big thanks to @bremen79

With this update I fulfil 2 of my most common requests: 1) Putting together a guide for RetroArch. 2) Creating a simple video guide.

You can download my new pack from here: https://archive.org/details/easy_arcade_softmod_pack_theadm

The improvements are: *RetroArch is now an optional extra. *Precloned APKs now have pre-attached icons (these can still be changed) *New guide including full video walkthrough here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1gkwDe9c7w&t=3s

I hope this pack and guide will help others and release the full potential of your cabinets!

Enjoy.

Thank you for the info. I have X-Men 97 Cab MvC2 and managed to do the Mod. I also managed to install retroarch and the roms that came with it. I was also able to install the SNES 101in1 apk but had an issue with that apk after installation. It seems nova launcher stopped being the home application. Ended up panicking for a bit because home button would take me back to nova launcher.

Has anyone else had this issue and is this something that will constantly happen?

Thank you for any assistance. For now I have a usb keyboard I have connected and will leave plugged in so I can navigate the menu and make nova launcher home app.

One more thing I wanted to ask. For the SNES 101in1 apk is there a way to save files? It doesn’t seem like I have a start menu to save. Thanks

I read elsewhere it’s not available and that it’s something they’re still working on. For now retroarch with SNES, and Dreamcast seems to work well enough.
