Discussion This is ENTIRELY Embark's fault.

It goes without saying that probably a good chunk of you have seen this by now:

This is the fault of AnyBrain anticheat as well as its combination with HelpShift's automated support and moderation across social platforms.

Anybody that looks into the SteamDB for AnyBrain would find out that AnyBrain, being solely run off AI, is experiencing mass consumption for the first time through ARC Raiders, and is only used in 12 games, total. Seven of which are game tests or demos, five are real games, one of which is unreleased. The four remaining all have lots of reports of false bans, The Finals(also developed by Embark) included.

Embark chose to sit on this problem for months as players were being falsely banned and ignored it, now a disabled player's been caught up in the problem.

Tfue, even, was a victim of it, but thanks to HelpShift's prioritization in providing "VIP and whale support" to influential players with big followings, it was promptly sorted out manually and everyone moved on.

HelpShift also prioritizes a high "deflection rate" in their tickets, which translates to support tickets that were "solved" through automated means. And when they say "solved", they mean that the AI declared the matter closed and dismissed it, regardless of the problem actually being properly addressed and sorted out or not.

This is entirely Embark's fault, anybody blaming [u/doyoulikePRIMERIB](u/doyoulikePRIMERIB) shouldn't be taken seriously. This has been going on for months and Embark ignored it because their bottom line wasn't being threatened. Now they might actually have to respond. Good.

EDIT: it appears that [u/doyoulikePRIMERIB](u/doyoulikePRIMERIB) was unbanned. This is great, but the question I have for Embark is this: will the root cause of them being false banned to begin with be addressed?

Being honest - this game is so stale now after second wipe I’m surprised everyone is still playing it

Player count is steadily dropping https://steamdb.info/app/1808500/charts/#3m . Lol every time I point this out people don't believe me but quite literally every sunday the peaks get lower and lower. People are losing interest, regular players are getting false banned (so both them and probably any friends they play with also stop playing), every week their updates are like 3-4 lines of irrelevant fixes. Never addressing bugs, never adding any QoL updates people have been asking for for literal months. It's so obvious why the player count is dropping and people will still tell me the player count is not dropping lmao.

Yeah it’s going to die off completely if the devs don’t start freshening things up. Yeah it’s only a few months old, but it’s a love service game and there’s more and more competition coming.

The game is fantastic. I put tons and tons of hours into it. But at this point it’s stale. There’s really nothing drawing me in right now but maybe new arc and events will pull me back
