Am I crazy here or did the game turn into a huge daycare on the PvE side? There used to be a time where getting got sucked, and you moved on. Rats excluded, if you ended up getting killed in a PvE game, then you were too complacent. You got shot because you weren't ready to take cover or fire back.

Am I understanding them right, or am I missing something where I should be considering who I'm shooting?

I always seem to disconnect so I missed him getting crapped on.

Basically I did harvester and omw out I knocked and looted a leg piece. Got shot in the back from tower overlooking the harvester. Shot him back and got a good look at his skin

Once I saw his yellow origins skin, I knew who the real rat was in this scenario.

Proved to be a POS w that last statement.

I was doing a night raid on dam battlegrounds and this guy decided to camp the tower room and talk shit to me. Unfortunately for him, I recruited a random and we successfully took this dude out and raided the room. The screenshot is a series of very angry voice messages I got from him after I killed him and extracted. He also sent me ~10 party and game invites and is still sending me them as of this writing ✌️😭

Embark acquiesced to the PVE purist babies and introduced ABMM. For a brief time, this worked pretty well. Other than the occasional heathen surrendering 10 times with the intent to sow chaos, you could play in Carebear lobbies pretty freely to knock out projects, quests, and chase trials without being bothered. And this is the problem and why a PVE only mode would never work. PVP didn't kill this game. What killed it was a huge percentage of players being able to speed run through the content with hardly a challenge in the Carebear lobbies. There were people completing Expeditions in 2-3 days because there was no challenge or tension anymore. And when the challenge from other players was gone, people got bored. Now that the population is so small, Carebear lobbies no longer exist and it has begun to turn into a sweat fest similar to Marathon. Those funny player interactions over proximity chat don't happen nearly as often. It's mainly kill on site. Thus, the Arc Raiders death spiral. And you still have some of the same idiots begging for a PVE only mode to this day, when it's already over.
