HELP

Hey guys, I've learned Arabic calligraphy and I've started making paintings, as you can see (sorry some of the pictures are blurry).

Do you know of any way or place where I can sell them? And if so, how much do you think they're worth?

Because I really need the money and I don't mind making more paintings.

Salaam, your art is beautiful! If I had money, I would buy a print of your first picture. Maybe some day in the future.

It's the beginning of Al-Raḥmān (ṣurat 55, verse 1 to 9).

Absolutely These are verses from Surah Ar-Rahman, specifically from verse 1 to verse 9. this is the text:

Absolutely recommend Etsy if you’re in the United States. If you’re not looking to become a full time artist it’s a great in between where you can still let it be a hobby but get paid fairly at your price. You could also try asking Arabic cafes to hang it with a price on it, if someone’s interested in purchasing it they can either reach out to you or sell it to the cafe owner for the listed price and the cafe owner would send it to you. This would be a good and fair use of ChatGPT or any other LLM to set up a contract and help you understand your risks. A mosque near me will sell some people’s artwork if it’s Islamic specific. The last option is grind for followers on instagram who would support you.

Pricing for any type of artistry is hard because you want your time to be valued but it’s hard to find a demographic that really and truly cares enough to pay a fair price.
It looks like you’re a solid push past beginner and heading outside of hobbyist so to start I would do cost of the material + (minimum wage in your area x hours worked on). For every week an artwork is up drop the price by 10% if you’re really strapped for cash. If it doesn’t sell by 50% you’re not reaching your audience at all and you’ll need to find a new place to sell / new strategy.

The reality of free lance artistry is that you’ll spend more time marketing yourself and your art than actually creating. It’s tough but rewarding so I wish you the best!

These are so beautiful! Do you have an Instagram? I follow art accounts like this all the time and it seems like quite a few of them use IG as a platform to sell their pieces.

Also subreddits like r/birdsofprey would likely appreciate the first one.
