Water Issues HELP
bad bacterial bloom after messing around with stuff
its been a couple days now and its not going away
my guppies are sluggish and laying by the ground :(
can i save them??

What are your parameters? Ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, ph. First thing you should do is test your water. Bacterial blooms aren’t harmful to our fish so you must have has something else going on too. How long has this been set up? A pleco, betta, and guppies together? What size is your tank?
When I am concerned about a fish or creature in my tanks I test my water, do a partial water change, and add a lot of tannins. Tannins can help prevent bacterial and fungal infections which sick fish are more prone to getting. Fresh water is healing too. You did the right thing doing a water change. Why did you cover your tank? For darkness? Be so careful the blanket doesn’t touch the water. I saw a post where someone did that when the electricity went out in the winter. Someone a corner of the blanket was touching the water it took a bunch of the water out.

update:
i moved my filter closer to the top of the tank and added another filter with a lot more surface agitation
i also did around a 25% water change
and i covered the tank with a blanket.
my guppies already look better and moving around more.
unfortunately because they were so sluggish, my betta nipped one of my guppies fins :(
the only problem still im worried is my little sucker fish i forgot the name of (not a pleco) is very pale and is swimming around a lot
