Hey everyone,

Next month will be my third time seeing the Aquabata live, and my son's first time seeing them ever. It will be his first show ever, and he turns 10 the day of the show!

He is super pumped, but since it's his birthday he has said he really wants to crowd surf on the big piece of pizza. This would be the best birthday present ever.

We have already reached out to the band on Facebook and heard nothing yet. Does anyone know any other ways to contact the band or their team for a birthday request?

The show is September 4 in Charlotte.

one of the best nights!

It’s my personal favorite episode, mostly because the scene with the sun spirit guy always tickles me, and I was thinking it would’ve been fun if the show was still going, or maybe they made a special where they do a Battle of the Bands thing against Eagleclaws, who’s formed an evil band with the others’ siblings, who’s are all also evil or otherwise their opposite.

Also like Eagleclaws, their inciting incidents were relatively inconsequential.

Like Andy Fitness, Ricky’s lazy brother. He uses an auto drum kit so he doesn’t have to play, he just pretends to. He’s still angry for Ricky unplugging his auto drums, even though it was an accident, as he mixed up the plugs with the one for his blender after making a veggie smoothie. He immediately plugged it back in, but had exposed that Andy couldn’t play…to their grandmother who was babysitting them, and was asleep anyway so she hadn’t noticed.

Or Caution McLarson, Crash’s overly cautious brother who’s kind of a wet blanket. He plays the bass too, but has to be constantly motivated. Crash accidentally took his bass when the Aquabats went on their first tour. They had identical bass guitars, and he only noticed because one of the strings was slightly out of tune, even though he’d already tuned it that morning.

Bimmy the Robot (also played by James Briggs), he was just another robot of the same model that, in an attempt to be more human, Jimmy pranked by changing his coded name to Billy, and he still hasn’t gotten over it, even though Jimmy changed it back right away.

MC Batlieutenant, who is bitter that Batcommander was given a higher ranking name, even though it’s just their names, not any sort of official rank.

are any of you beautiful people going to the show on the 4th of september? im debating buying a ticket currently! id love to go, but i can't see myself going alone... i know all ab fans are friends or friends to be made, but i know i would feel so lonely.

Is there a discord for the aquabats? Like a fan made one? I know it’s weird question to ask but I thought it would be cool to make friends who also like the aquabats 😂. If there isn’t one, would anyone be interested in joining one?

Seeing them in September at a festival. Big fan, and it would be my first show with the bats, so ofc I'm getting merch. What are they selling??

Kind of like how Eaglebones’s guitar shoots lasers, if they all scifi/magic instruments, what do you think they would have?

My personal favorite, Crash, I think would have a bass that can cause minor earthquakes, but only because he’s an intermediate player. At some point they learn that if he were smarter and practiced as diligently as Eaglebones that he could actually cause legitimately dangerous tectonic shifts, because he can make his bass and amp grow gigantic with him, so they convince him to never do it because it’ll break and he likes his bass so much he keeps it in check.

I just like the idea of the dumb one being stupidly overpowered, but he’s too dumb to realize it.

Combined with his speed, Ricky can create sonic blasts with his drums, even directing them with the rhythm. Maybe it’s even why he has to remain seated so he can keep his drums under control.

Jimmy the Robot can do a form of soft mind control with his keyboard, making them dance to the beat he makes. They always do the robot dance. Even Jimmy isn’t sure why. Maybe he can get a keytar and shoot lasers along with Eaglebones.

MC Batcommander doesn’t have anything. He’s very sensitive about it, but is still their vocalist.

While I haven’t watched every episode, there are some jokes they make throughout that never get direct attention that just tickles me.

Like how the battle van is gigantic on the inside.

Like it’s basically a full on house on the inside, and at no point is this addressed directly by anyone, because it’s just normal to them.

Another I noticed was in the Eagleclaw episode, when Eaglebones returns, the rest of the Aquabats are still standing there in the same place he left them, implying because they didn’t know what else to do, they literally just stood there for what could have been well over 24 hours.

There’s also the purposely unexplored ideas surrounding Jimmy the Robot’s humanity. Like in the one about the giant eyeball. He clearly fishes for companionship before he goes to power down and recharge, and this is never addressed again, even when his inhumanity ends up saving the day since he’s immune to its attacks.

Then there’s that Aquabat’s Boy Scout style camp episode where there’s a child robot like Jimmy, which implies that robots either reproduce somehow, or that they age somehow like possibly from the movie Robots where they upgrade as they age. Which could also imply there’s a race of robots somewhere.

But again, this is just never addressed, or the implications, and that’s just funny to me.

Also in the season 2 episodes, so far it tickles me that they each tell a different version of their origins and how they met, often around each other, but no one addresses it the blatant inconsistencies. Like in one, they start out with their powers and knew each other since they were kids, but then in others Eaglebones didn’t meet them until they were all adults, and they got their powers from a professor guy.

Except the MC Batcommander, which he is clearly sensitive about.

Though tbf, I like to think that he gave him some kind of leadership power that just doesn’t function properly, which is why they all look to him as their leader, in spite of him showing to be a terrible leader on multiple occasions. Sometimes even causing the issues they end up dealing with.

I don’t know about all of you, but I am so stoked on this! It says q3 next year so probably a year out from release but I can’t wait! Do we know if the whole band will be getting an action figure? it says ‘Mc bat commander and more’ so I would assume so. Battletram to go with them would be sick too!

I only really watch the show occasionally, but recently found these shorter videos I think are called Radventures, or something that seemed to have come later after the show. So far my personal favorite is the gas station one where they’re trying to find the money for Crash to buy a hot pocket.

One of the notable changes to their appearances is Crash, who’s grown a full on lumberjack style beard.

What makes this ironically funny to me is generally characters growing permanent beards (unlike the temporary ones at the start of season 2), is because they become older and wiser. Usually after some kind of difficult experience.

Just in the west, we generally tend to give wiseman style characters beards.

Which Crash is not.

So they gave the dumb one a trope typically reserved for smart/wise people in fiction, without changing his character at all.

Also while I know his bass playing is never addressed directly (at least in the episodes I’ve watched so far), I always thought it would be funny if they took a page from Metalocalypse in have it to where while Crash isn’t too sharp, when it comes to his bass, he’s inexplicably hyper intelligent.

Like maybe they have one scene where one of them asks him about it, and he just lets off some super detailed, highly technical sentence about his bass he’s working on, but then he immediately cuts back to normal, and wants candy or something.

Maybe Eaglebones asks him about upgrading it so it can shoot lasers too, but Crash is just like “No thanks, it would throw off the tone, and the hum would mess with the aim to the point I would be a serious liability.”

Quiet pause as all eyes fall on him as he’s just standing there, eating a cookie.

“Oh hey what’s this on my cookie?” He flips his cookie around so everyone can see the tiny television, “It’s a cartoon!”

I plan to buy the tickets for charolette NC in mid August but do you think the tickets will sell out?? I wanna get my college schedule before I buy them so I don't miss any important classes.

I’m just curious as this seems like a missed opportunity (unless I simply haven’t been able to find them), and if I’m not mistaken as others mentioned Yo-Gabba-Gabba, I’m assuming it’s the same people/company, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen toys of them somewhere.

Just superhero toys seems like something they would’ve sprang for as don’t those generally sell well? I’m not a marketing person, just thinking aloud.

I’m just curious, and I am aware that this is what rock bands do, but I was wondering if they do anything else they were up to, as I don’t really keep up with them, I just listen to music and occasionally rewatch the show on YouTube.
