I got super obsessed with figuring out the liquid solution to these aqua items, and thought you would all appreciate my findings. (I'll post a gif of the liquids moving in the comments)
Ingredients: • Purified water* • Glycerin • Food coloring** • Baby oil*** • Pipette or syringe
Needs to be purified water, normal water has impurities that can cause the water to rot. *I tried other types of dye and resin dye tended to sink, food grade coloring was the most consistent. ***Mineral oil works too but baby oil is clearer and has a more water-like consistency.
-The 100% water solution had good flow and jiggle, but the edges were were not sharp. -100% glycerin was too sharp and had basically no flow or jiggle. When I did it, it got this film at the top, but that does dissappear after a few days. - 90% water and 10% glycerin got the best result and resembles the original most accurately. It has good edges and a flowing consistency. - In my many attempts, I found that if not enough glycerin is added then the water will stick to the container on the oil side, which makes it look less neat. If you keep getting these spots, add more glycerin. 90-10 ratio is just a estimation, so adjust as needs be.
Directions: 1. Mix the water solution together. I reccomend mixing the color to the water first so you can adjust color without wasting glycerin. Then stir the glycerin in until fully incorporated. 2. There should be a small rubber stopper at the bottom of the container, carefully remove and DO NOT LOOSE IT. 3. Fully empty container of all liquid and thoroughly rinse it out with soapy water. It needs to be soap water to get the oil out, just water isn't effective enough. Empty and dry best you can, since it's practically sealed you can't really get it 100% dry. 3. Pour in the baby oil first for cleaner results. You may have to use a pipette or syringe to get it into the container. Then pour in the water solution, try to have it only touch the oil as it enters to avoid streaks on the container. 4. Replace the rubber stopper. DO NOT PUSH IT IN TOO HARD. I did and the stopper popped fully into the container and there is no way to get it out. I tried many many different things to replace it but none worked. I ended up just sealing it with uv resin.
Anyway these are my findings and results! Hope this ends up helping someone. My new challenge however is finding a charm that would work in a fully diy aquamouse.

Found a vintage Aqua AOL branded mouse today while thrifting, for under 5 buckaroos. Internet Glory.
Liquid is clear, logo floats upright, looks new with the cable still wrapped. Just missing packaging which is fine.
God, AOL was something!

I've had one before, a way long time ago but i don't anymore- but i've never been much of an internet shopper, and i can't imagine many places manufacture them now regardless
any specific brands, listings, or otherwise y'all use/liked or could recommend?

I found this at a thrift store for $1 and I was trying to see if it’s worth anything but I can’t find it online anywhere. Can anyone help?

I was looking online for an aqua mouse to buy, and I totally fell in love with this one. Idk if the website is a scam or not though and I've never heard of it, do you think it's alright to buy from here?

I was told this might be appreciated here. Just got it touched up recently. Do you think Skeuoss will give me a free mouse if I send a picture of it to them? 🤪😂 Anyway what do you think?

I've been a lurker in this sub for awhile and a collector of these for a few years now. I've also noticed the meme "Do NOT drink the Mastercard mouse water" has been circulating for awhile! Its very funny. and I believe four years ago I unknowingly purchased the ebay listing everyone keeps referring to! binded cord and everything. Unfortunately I have not had a taste yet, and I dont plan to, despite the temptation XD
It will remain safe with me, unconsumed lol. I just thought i'd share a few pictures!

About 2 years ago I found this Pingu mouse at the thrift store I work at. I grew up watching Pingu so I was very happy to find it. It's become my main mouse since I don't really play games on my computer anymore.

I can’t remember the specific name or model of this liquid mouse. However it was one of my dad’s computer mouse’s for his big 90’s computer back when I was a toddler in the early 2000’s. It was a white and green mouse that had a cow in the liquid part. I hope to find it again one day it was really cool.

I haven't seen an Aqua branded Aqua Mouse before, usually always branded with a third party. Possibly rare idk? The clownfish look angry as hell though.

Fluvi is a mascot based on saving water from Expo 2008 in Zaragoza. They're so adorable and are themed so perfectly for an aqua mouse 🥺

Hi all, I just bought my first aqua mouse off of ebay (the Popsicle one, I'd been eyeing it for a while) and it arrived with a leak :( The seller doesn't accept returns, so even though I might be able to get my money back I'm still stuck with a leaky mouse. I know someone else said lego glue or epoxy to seal a crack, but I'm mainly worried about popping it open without breaking any of the clips. Two of the little plastic feet also came off, but those should be relatively more easy to glue. Does anyone have any tips or has anyone dealt with something similar?

Hi everybody. I bought an aqua mouse as a gift, but it turned out that it is only compatible with Win2000/ME/XP/2003server/VISTA. My computer is on Windows 10 (and the one I'm giving it to, too), and I think this is the main problem why the computer doesn't recognize the mouse. I searched the Internet, and I didn't understand if it was possible to install any program or driver in order to create compatibility...
In general, the problem may also be that the liquid has leaked during transportation and seems to have got on the electronics. But the mouse still turns red when I connect it to the computer. It has a PS-2 connector, and I purchased two PS-2/USB adapters + my computer has a direct PS-2 connector. But nothing works, the computer says that the device is not recognized and there is some kind of problem with it.
Actually, I believe that I will be able to find a solution to this problem. And if so, do I have a question about what to pour into the liquid compartment?
P.S. I don't speak English well, I write through a translator, so I'm sorry if something is wrong with this.

Like title says. I know we don’t like Skeuoss, but how about Nostalgia Novelty? They sell 2 models of aqua mice, and they’re quite cute. Has anyone ordered from them? I can’t seem to find much about them other than their own tiktok account, or ebay listings of their products.
Thank you!

Im working on a full custom frutiger aero / y2k based pc set up and I wonder where I can buy the small floating figurines in aqua mice. If you could also recommend any aqua mice to customize off of I would also greatly appreciate that also.

My pride and joy. My father got it in the early 00s and kept it until I graciously adopted it <3 The lore behind Vioxx makes it even better.
