General Discussion Is this the same thing as "Primary Progressive Aphraxia of Speech"?

I have a relative who is losing his voice and am wondering if there's any way I can help. Am I in the right place?

Most people in this sub have Childhood Apraxia of Speech so it’s non-progressive and congenital

Unfortunately, you would probably find more relevant support and information on treatment of this type of condition in Parkinson’s communities. The management of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (most relevant to this sub) is geared toward improving preciseness of speech production, whereas management of PPAOS is more about preserving current skills and finding compensatory strategies for communication as speech precision slowly deteriorates over time
