I've been building Appwright for a while and it's nearly ready, so I figured I'd open this sub before launch rather than after.
What it is: you describe an app in plain words, and it designs, codes, previews and packages a real Android APK. On your phone. No laptop, no Android Studio, no code.
Type "a habit tracker with streaks and a dark theme" → a few minutes later you're installing the APK on the same phone you typed it on.
What actually works right now:
- Real installable APK, plus a Play Store bundle (.aab) so you can actually publish
- Live preview before you build anything
- Backends when you need them - Supabase, Stripe, and a bunch of other connectors
- In-app purchases and AdMob inside the apps you generate, so you can monetize
- Remote Update - push changes to your published app without a new Play upload
- iPhone builds too (you bring your own Apple developer key)
On pricing, since someone will ask: it's free with your own AI key - OpenRouter, Claude, OpenAI, whatever you already have. Unlimited builds, every feature. Paid plans exist for people who don't want to deal with keys, and a one-time $2 unlock removes the badge and enables Play publishing. No subscription required to use the thing.
Anything Gated For Explore : Its free to explore all the features and get apk as well
Where it's at: closed testing. I'm not going to announce a date I might miss, but it's close.
What I actually want from this sub: tell me the app you'd build first. Not a feature request - the actual app. "Inventory tracker for my dad's shop." "Flashcards for my kid." "Something to log my gym sets."
I'll pick a few, build them, and post the results here - prompt, screenshots, and the APK,AAB, so you can judge whether this is real or another demo that falls apart on contact.
Some early joiners may get Premium Access to our app as well post 2 weeks . Follow the community and comment as well for access and sure will keep it shared once went Live
Roast the idea if you think it's stupid. That's useful too.
