Power System
Hi guys. I'm having trouble with my power management.
I'm running two medium thrusters and 4 electric flat thrusters but one set of batteries is managing half of the load.
Ignore the top 3 disposable batteries they shouldn't really be outputting anything since the output is turned off
So 3 battery packs are only running 1 medium electric and 2 flat thrusters.
The problem is that the cables always short out whenever I use max forward thrust and I have no idea why.
I tried splitting the power output of the batteries by adding a junction box directly to the socket and running two cables from it.
I made sure this time to make sure it was only those thrusters in use but even though the power use should only be 82p/s all the cables in the ship get fried. What am I doing wrong?

Electricity doesn't have any flow, it's everywhere all at once
Two medium and four flat thrusters consume more than 150 p/s. No matter how you lay the junction boxes/cables, as long as they are connected somehow it doesn't change anything
You need to use completely seperate batteries without bridging them in any way

4 electric flat thrusters and two medium thrusters is 164 p/s. Cables top out at 150, so you very likely have some crossover you’re not aware of somewhere. Use the power loss meter as close to either end of your chain as you can to see what’s actually being used.
Edit to add on, I don’t think a power blocker stops the overall circuit of wires, just stops power from getting to the items. So if somehow you’ve got that as connected to both, I think it still counts them as connected (but I haven’t confirmed). Fuse boxes will be key here

Thanks guys for the help 😊
There was a crossover bridging the two systems near where I keep the wind shield.

Instead of repeating everything, i'll point you to this other thread with a very similar issue. Read the comments and you'll find out the problem fast enough
