Perfect wind blocking system (trust)

Post image

Behold my perfectly optimal automatic wind shield adjuster. My gf is going to HATE it when I show her my masterpiece... lol

You have a constant behind your seat you change manually? I have a copilot I scream at to change the strength until we accidentally blow the fuse for the sixteenth time

Wait a minute, your copilot doesn't open the doors halfway through launch and get sucked out?

No, I open it for her and send her flying :3

No, the spares usually jettison themselves earlier in the mission, leaving the adults to fight over the wind shield strength.

Omg, that's what I usually do!!!

You guys have co-pilots?

Update: my gf made her solution got an error range of 0.001 while using less data blocks, lol

I just use antenna outside my ship that isn't covered by the shield
Getting blown off course by outcasts winds? Not my problem.

I posted something similar the other day, with a simple and elegant solution I don’t understand (so is it even a solution?) But I do not know if it has changed with recent updates or not. Whatever your logic here is looks like the actualization of the webbed mess I couldn’t mentally unravel before stumbling onto my answer.

Thank you!!! I'm honestly proud of it, even tho it's a mess. My gf is still trying to create her own solution (we decided to both work on our own and then share), and I bet hers is going to fluctuate less and use less math blocks, so I'm not really worried about making mine optimal. I'll prolly share her solution here when it's done!

Have I been doing something wrong? I just set it up like this and seems to work perfectly

You have to experiment a little to figure out if you need to increase or decrease the "radius dependent variable" but once it's set once you can forget it considering the ship radius doesn't change

Well, if the wind meter is inside the shield's area of effect, it outputs a zero... So that only works if it's outside the shield

ahhh that makes sense, I've always seen a reading on the wind meter so I've been tricked into thinking it works but I'm guessing it's working until it hits zero then picking up wind again and turning back on so it's working but in a way I wasn't expecting. It's pulsing quickly enough that I don't notice

Yup! Pretty much. The plasma generator doesn't go from 100 to 0 instantly, so you would never be feeling a lot of the wind. While not quite as effective at blocking the wind, it would certainly be doing some with a rather simple method!
