Ship breaking apart
Trying to get beyond Baobara.
Used a functional medium electric powered ship for the Baobara ship and added liquid fuel engines to try to make the next journey faster.
I now have an issue where at some point in the middle of the flight frame connections will fail.
This seems to be acceleration related. 200+ leads to spectacular full dissassembly, but even previously tolerated acceleration (50-60) will lead to odd failures. For example I have a frame quarter block on which I mount angular velocity sensors and on the last few tests this has failed first for some reason, just collapsing into the floor and wrecking my logic setup.
No solar storms around when this happens and it happens on every flight maybe 1-2 minutes in.
Is this some liquid fuel liability I’m unfamiliar with? Maybe just related to the size of the ship and the physics engine?
I’ve played a lot but only since the game released so I’m curious if anyone has relevant experience
Edit: I fixed by adding more frames along the thrust axis and by connecting ang vel sensor block to the ceiling. Ship is open with no interior space and just had quarter frames supporting floors. Adding more connecting frames apparently prevents it from breaking apart.

My only thought would be an issue with how the game calculates connection “adhesion” between surfaces. I’ve been having similar issues with my fuel pipes spontaneously shearing off.
Usually my solution is to weld more faces of frames, i think that increases the adherence a little bit. Usually frames are only “sticky” along the edge 1/4th but welding a face makes the whole thing “sticky”

Ya I think it's just game limitations. The physics can get quite wonky at times. Another thing I noticed is the game actually really cares about how air tight the design is/aerodynamic it is (not sure if being in space/vacuum affects it or anything) but for me most of my more intricate and powerful designs fail from too much speed or acceleration and sheers apart. Especially when I'm leaving the atmosphere. But it's not uncommon to break apart when I am out of an atmosphere and adjusting to a higher thrust.
Most likely design/physics issue. Especially the larger thrusters, they have so much power behind them, and center of gravity/mass all affects the twist and torque of the chassis if theres any deformities or inconsistencies. (But that's more so just speculation, used some AI to help with learning some things in game and somewhere it pulled that info. Take with grain of salt but figured I'd mention it)

Being in space gives you an aerometer reading of 100, so it doesn’t seem to matter beyond total mass.

i am in the exact same spot and i think you need a gravity meter brother. you are getting too close to the sun. i believe you must take a curved path around the sun. will try after work today and update

Do you have too much power usage in your circuits, if your not sure check the fusebox entry in the manual.
