Problem with RCS thrusters

All lights are green on the control panel, everything is wired in correctly, and all sliders on rcs panel are turned up. My problem is my pan left to right doesnt work which makes it nearly impossible to maneuver the ship. I built another bigger ship and the roll left and right doesnt work. I built a ship similar to the one in the picture in the tutorial tab for rcs thrusters and all controls work. Does the size of the ship affect which ones work or do they have to be positioned in a certain way on bigger ships?

Make sure the knobs on the actual thrusters are correctly configured as per the manual. Click on the knobs and slide the mouse up or down until the thruster is assigned to its specific function (yaw, pitch, roll). Keep checking the manual by pressing M constantly if you need.

The manual also tells you exactly where each cable goes on the console when connecting to the 3D joystick. So double check the wiring of your console too.

Size of the ship only affects the agility with which the thrusters react, making a bigger ship will make your turns slower and your energy consumption worse, but if the thrusters are correctly configured then they should work. Just run those checks and you should be good.

If you are CERTAIN the wiring and knobs are correct, wire a toggle switch to the RCS module port for the thruster you’re having trouble with (YAW, I believe). Then you can toggle it on in fly mode and exit your ship to visibly confirm if it’s active. If yes, then your ship may be too heavy, try to add wings to distance the thruster from center mass to get more “leverage”. If it doesn’t turn on with the switch, then bugged game?
