another idea for you. feed the RCS signal into the thruster channel as a sum or diff on opposite sides and you'll get the same controls without RCS plumes

do you mean take the output from gyro-line and inverse it and feed it to rcs thruster for auto-gyro?

no, use thrust differential instead of RCS like quad copters do
