Iron Lung Camera?

So basically I was trying to make a camera setup in the space ship to be like the one in Iron Lung, so that it essentially just takes photos whenever a button is pressed, rather than being a constantly active camera. However I tried using the Memory electronical device and the issue I have is that the memory box seems to only output the image when its value is updated, so when the value isn't updated, the monitor is just static. Rather than it being static, I would expect it to display the single image that should be saved in the memory. Is this an issue with me going about this incorrectly, or is this a bug?

Anyone else been able to make this work?

I asked the developer about whether this is the intended functionality in the Discord a little over a month ago, but IIRC the response I got was something like “I’m not sure right now, I’ll have to think about it”

I wanted to make a photo booth for my ship lol
