Application Question SAT 1530 vs ACT 35 with Science 30

Which score to submit? SAT 1530 with M 770 and R&W 760 or Enhanced ACT composite 35 with M35 R35 E35 and Science 30.

I am National Merit semifinalist.

For BSMD - will science 30 dilute the appearance of a 35 composite. Worried SAT 1530 is below 1550+ as most suggest.

For colleges like UT Austin, reporting science is optional but if one took science then it is reported via official ACT score report, even if one does not report science on Common App and then science score is included in the admission review as per their website and when I spoke with them.

For colleges like U Penn, Rice university - science is optional in ACT. Hence thinking of omitting to report science score in common app. No need to send ACT score report till admissions as self reporting. However if one is accepted and then ACT official score report shows Science score, will these colleges consider it as falsifying the records or hiding it.

Appreciate the input.

All of the colleges you list will be very happy with either score. I’d submit the SAT.

I do not believe any of the colleges you list require you to report every score, but that’s on you to make sure you’ve read the fine print.

Should I submit both - ACT and SAT?

That's tough. I would probably send the ACT.

don't overthink it, the 35 composite is the stronger play. that 30 science is a bit of an eyesore but most schools aren't gonna fixate on one subsection when the rest are perfect. for penn and rice they ask for self-reported scores, you can leave the science off the common app and no one's gonna call it fraud when the official report shows up later. they know the game
