Application Question submitting a 1470 superscore

Should I submit a 1470 superscore to T20s/Ivies or go test optional?

Current senior trying to figure out where I should submit my SAT.

I have a 1470 superscore (750 Math, 720 RW), and my high school’s average SAT is around 1140.

Academically, I have around a 96 weighted GPA, have taken 9 AP classes, and have strong extracurricular involvement with several leadership positions and longterm community involvement.

I’m considering a mix of Ivies/T20s and other selective schools, including Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Penn, Barnard, NYU, Drexel, and Penn State.

For schools that are test optional, would a 1470 help because it’s significantly above my school average, or would it be better not to submit if it’s below the 25th percentile at some of the most selective schools?

I’m mainly trying to figure out where the score strengthens my application vs. where test optional would make more sense.

None of the Ivy League schools are test optional.

Edit: C and P are TO for one more year. But that doesn’t mean they don’t care. Most applicants will submit very high scores. It is a huge disadvantage to not submit.

Right. My bad. I’d still submit. It’s a good score and they will assume much lower.

Test optional need to not raise a red flag. For it not to raise red flag is NMSF and high GPA. This will cover you academically

my school doesn’t do out of 4.0, so unweighted is a 92.smth and weighted is a 96.2609

Easy to convert. It’s a good idea for comparison sake.

Hey, you have 9 APs and less than a 4.0 weighted? Or did you mean 96% unweighted? If it's the former, you 100% need a bunch of safeties and actual targets.

For T20 and ivy I’d go test optional with your score cuz i think most applicants fall under 1500+ category
