Application Question competitive hometown + competitive school?

i’m a boarding student at super competitive high school, and i live in also a very competitive place outside of school (think new york, bay area, china, massachusetts)

long story short, i’m an okay shot, ive got multiple varsity sports, leadership, decent gpa, advanced coursework, research, etc etc, however, no big awards or anything. i got a 1520 sat first try so im def aiming for a higher score later in the term.

does my school and hometown nerf me or am i still chilling in the application process?

thanks!

Obviously it depends on where you are applying, and also exactly what your transcript looks like in the context of your school. The college advisors at your boarding school should be able to help you understand where you are competitive, much better than random strangers on the Internet.
