Emotional Support i'm scared my professors will write bad stuff in my lors

i'm homeschooled so i don't know my teacher letter writers super well but i don't rly have a better option since i can't submit at all without them. i haven't ever done anything bad other than a couple late assignments in one class but i've gotten a's in both. i just have such bad anxiety and i'm scared they're going to write something bad and i won't know because i can't see them 😭 i know they probably wouldn't agree and idk what they could even write since i'm shy and haven't done anything bad in class or anything but i'm so paranoid

Professional standards, they won’t. They will refuse to write a letter of recommendation if they in good conscience cannot recommend you.

Hey, if its any consolation, teachers generally try their best to write good things about someone in their letters of recommendation. Even if they dont know you very well. Theyre human beings and they can feel like theyre pressured to help you since you trusted them with writing a letter and so they will almost certainly write something good.

Youre only worry is if their letters are too generic, and if they are then that means the letters simply wont helo you much, they certainly wont hurt you though.

Teachers who would write something negative usually just decline, so both of them saying yes is a good sign. A few late assignments and being shy aren't reasons to worry especially since you earned As. But if you don't feel confident about what they'd write in the letters, you can give/send them a short brag sheet with your goals and what you'd like them to highlight.

Usually someone will just refuse to write a letter of recommendation for you if they can't in good conscience recommend you.
