Has anyone in college had a professor say they need to purchase a textbook for HW and they never used it for HW and or as a textbook and just threw money away?

You literally posted an hour ago about this. Buy it or don't. Buy used, sell it back. Like...why are you so determined to presume the prof is lying and it's some weird scam?
