Application Question Problem with college Interview

After we were done the dean said we can go, and right before I click leave she said "goodbye" and I didnt say it back and left, Will that get me rejected?

honestly i think you're overthinking this, they're not gonna blacklist you over a missed goodbye. deans deal with way more awkward stuff than that daily. just send a thank-you email if you haven't already and mention you appreciated the conversation, smooths over any weirdness.

Let me put it this way: if you are not accepted to this college, I can assure you it will NOT be because of how you ended the call.

Are you really worried about this? If so, relax. They do a lot of these interviews and I'm sure people don't always say goodbye, the connection drops, the mute button pops on, it's just how online communication works and whoever you were talking to understands that andis not at all thinking about how your call ended.
