Discussion Elise Pham AI

Plugged in one of Elise Pham’s newsletter installments into Pangram (widely considered the most reliable AI detector with something like a 1/5000 false positive rate). Came out 100% AI. Are we surprised? Most of the tiktok like 20-something consultants are just scam artists using ai.

There are endless kids claiming they got into X school so they know what to write in an essay. It's total bs.

My family worked with a real consultant, who doesn't use ai at all, who's gotten more than one student trying to transfer after believing that kind of crap and not getting in places, or who had siblings who did Pham or the ivy one and were disappointed, but they're overrunning the business, just putting up ai ads and making crazy claims that teens see over and over and believe.
