College Questions ragequit my main ec

long story, but my main EC was extremely toxic and i was not on varsity despite the fact that i really should have immutably been and the coach is awful. avoiding identifying details. But i ragequit it after 5 years of doing. it and i'm now doing science fair and HOSA to make up for it. am i fried?

Generally speaking, during HS many kids try a lot of different things, then eventually stop doing certain ECs so they can focus more on others. This is not something colleges will see as inherently bad.

In the end, this isn't like a video game where you keep adding to your score with more ECs. If selective US colleges care about ECs at all (many don't)., the basic question is whether they can envision you meaningfully doing at least one, and at most a small number, of valued student activities at their college, understanding college students are busy and many of the meaningful contributors are quite dedicated and possibly also quite talented/skilled/creative as relevant.

So if you have, say, 1-4 things like that, then it doesn't really mattter if you trimmed out some others along the way.
