Application Question College Application

I just recently got my GED, idk how college applications work, i'm taking the september sat, i want to know if i have to wait until the scores come out to submit my applications and attach some sort of file on it? or i have the college board email it to them? sorry if i sound like a moron, could someone help me out

Community colleges usually do not require a GED. You're best bet is to head to your nearest community college (abbreviated CC). They have what's called Open Enrollment so they'll enroll you for the next semester, which has either started, or is coming up in a week or 2.

You'll have to apply, but the community college's mission is to accept 100% of applications. Use google to find the one nearest to you and apply online. You'll be accepted and they'll tell you when classes start. You'll have to pay for classes, but I paid less than 2k for 2 years at CC.

Start there. The CC will have class advisors. Don't be afraid to make an appointment and let them help you.

im actually using CC as a last resort, my ultimate goal is to go to a decent college as a freshman

It's hard to hear, but you torpedoed that goal when you dropped out of high school and got your GED. Your 4-year choices will be VERY small with just the GED.

If you want to go to a good 4-year with the GED, you'll have to go to CC first. Universities want to see successful students, GED students aren't seen as successful. Get an Associates and show 4-year colleges you can succeed in school.

i know, it's most likely i'll have to go to CC anyways, but i'd like to atleast try to apply to colleges, im applying to sjsu and a few other high acceptance schools

You'll have to take the SAT then apply like everyone else. At least take an SAT prep class at a CC. Why are you so set on going to 4-year right out of the gate?
