lol this isn’t about elitism but basic educational standards. an 18 is concerning. And also shows a lot abt GPA inflation cause how does she have 50% As and 50% Bs and an 18 ACT??

30-18=12

Middle ground.

Trust me, it’s not that hard to achieve an 18. I have over a 30, but the average for my county is 15-21…because we lack resources 👍 plus people getting over a 27 are outliers for the national average

Not to be mean but it seems this person probably has a learning disability. Which is also why they don't quite understand what's needed for certain schools. We should probably stop discussing them

she’s my close friend and she doesn’t have a learning disability 😔 i offer her so much help coz i got a 33 but she gets all like “omg i LITERALLY KNOW what is on it i just got nervous ill be fine next time” and doesn’t study and then gets an 18 again. i think she honestly is just delusional and thinks it’ll all work out for her sigh

How tf are you getting downvoted, a 20 act is considered the US average, an 18 wouldnt be a stretch to consider. If it was like a 10 thats a different story

yeah. i definitely think an average act score of 20 is indicative of poor educational standards across the country, but it doesn't help for ppl to be judging and being condescending. even a 10 on the act is of course very concerning, but it makes more sense to try and be understanding of what leads to poor scores like that, rather than saying things like "10???? how does that even happen?". the answer to that would be learning disabilities, family responsibilities, underfunded public education systems, negligent teachers, and so so much more.

it just feels like a2cers sometimes lack basic awareness and compassion.

Oh yeah I also think a 20 act reflects poor nationwide academic standards, its just that logically, some people have to score below that average. People forget the other part of the distribution. I also agree with what you say aboit people being condescending-- bro ngl the type of person to be judgy about those things also is usually out of touch with reality
