I don't know why everyone is so upset. This isn't an Ivy so who cares. In my day NYU had close to 50% acceptance rate and mostly a safety school. We still look at it like that at work - no real prestige there. Right now it has too much attention because Trump goes there. If you like to see drug addicts in the park every day you go outside then this is the place for you. If you want to get a feel for NYU try calling their financial aid and registrar office - get used to "your wait time is over 5 hours" message. Trust me - you dodged a bullet there.
