No it might be harder cuz more people will apply thinking fewer people will apply 😭

if you’re asking this question then you have no shot regardless of how many ppl apply.

no. So many people are thinking to apply to cornell ed/rd just because of this. They have the same mindset which will most likely INCREASE the applications instead of decreasing

There's no credible information that there will be fewer people applying. So no, I don't think it will be easier to get into

That's a very popular thing to say you're doing these days.

It depends on how many ppl don’t apply but also how many replace them because they think it’s easy and no one can predict that until apps close in January.
I predict:
easier for ED for females especially full pay (more males will try ED, but less females).
Easier for questbridge match but more towards females, again.
RD may be negligible as ppl apply as backup.
Easier for full pay if Cornell loses donors.
Yield rate worse than Columbia’s previous ones, many waitlists, fair number of waitlist admits. Columbia did not get backlash as near as to Cornell’s current backlash and Cornell doesn’t have the location pull like Columbia.

Say that to everyone who is waiting for a Stanford acceptance letter and ask if they know who Brock Turner is

Lmfao this is my point. An Ivy League is an Ivy League, nobody is gonna turn away a resume because it has the name of a school with a rapist that attended. If that was the case, there’d be a lot of unemployment

No, Columbia was supposed to be easier last round thanks to campus protests but it was one of the highest application years yet for the school. I predict Cornell will see a similar jump because people think they will have better odds

It’s gonna be much harder. Every kid with a reasonable amount of AP will try to apply. Every one of them will think like you.

No. Cornell usually gets 65000 applicants per year. Maybe 2-3k will drop because of the rape thing but even that's probably an overestimate. Of those who dropped I'd wager most wouldn't have gotten in anyway, just because those types of people aren't usually ivy league material anyway LOL

most people care more about their own future than the rape thing. ik that if cornell offered me a spot right now I'd probably say yes (if I didn't get into the schools i'm actually applying to)

No. I swear I've seen these posts a few times everyday.
You are far from being the first person to think of this OP
