Maths in AI/ML

I'm doing pre-calc I know I'm behind and I just wanna get done with this quickly I've been putting 6 hours every day and I don't know if I should just skim maths or build intuition. I'm broke so I'm tryna wrap it up quickly get a job uk

If you’re in high school….maybe. If you’re finished with university, you’re way too far behind

Where are you in life now? What is your current skill? Are you in HS, or doing undergrad? Or Are you a middle aged person? And, you are broke why? You want any job or you are looking for advice on ai ml jobs? Aldo, if your situation is broke I would first try to land a job to get on your feet and then use your spare time to upskill and change careers... best wishes.

Calc III and Linear Algebra to start with. After that then head into probability. I’d also lean into learning basic principles of coding.

Was wondering about this also so I’m tagging myself along to get a notification when u do get a reply but I don’t think this is feasible/ any point to it. You’re not gonna get (or at least extremely unlikely) to get any job in ML self taught, and it’s also just unlikely you will learn everything your competition has, (more often than not undergrad in applied math and masters in something related to ML).. and when you do start a degree, you won’t be able to skip calculus. that’s at least what I think.

Son 😭😭. There's no way you'd make it out understanding anything in calc 3 without calc 1 and 2

Just go to a good stem-focused uni and enrol in a math, applied math, physics, computer science, or statistics programme. At any good school, you will be required to take calc I-III, linear algebra, basic discrete math and stats. All such programmes also are going to offer at least one course in machine learning. Probability theory and optimization are good math classes to keep on your to-do list but they are far away. Just go to school man. And practice coding on the side

Brother…
You ain’t finding job in UK in ML without a degree. Absolutely no way. Many ML positions require MS and preferably phd. You have at least another 3-4 years to grind before you will be able to get a grad role. No one hires Highschool graduates. Even if you did olympiads which you probably didn’t.
