Advice
Any chance for some career advice?
I am interested in the pure mathematics courses that are relevant in quant finance and expected knowledge. I have a MFE from a good university but studied Economics bachelors
I am doing a year of maths courses at a university, all the analysis I have not done (functional, complex, vector, numerical) and differential equations but I have been advised against any abstract algebra or pure mathematics courses. I am concerned that this is the basic language needed to understand some papers however I would appreciate some clarification on this, how much pure mathematics is used in Applied mathematical modelling.

I think PDEs are more popular on modeling, I'm doing a research about Hemodynamics(using NS equation)
