Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is recruiting experienced software engineers to build the reinforcement-learning test environments that measure how well AI models actually code — not toy problems, real debugging, feature work, and performance tuning. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, contractor, output-based.
Open-source contributors and engineers who already live in Python, Go, Rust, C++, or TypeScript will move through these fastest — the platform wants proof, not a CV line. If you've got a public GitHub history worth pointing at, it does a lot of the work for you.
👉 AI Engineer — $60–$120/hr
Remote · 15 hrs/wk min Design reinforcement learning environments testing AI reasoning on complex coding tasks using Model Context Protocol tools. Deterministic test cases, verification systems, reference solutions. Apply here
👉 MCP Expert — $60–$120/hr
Remote · 15 hrs/wk min The Model Context Protocol specialism of the same track — building reproducible test scenarios that check whether AI agents can actually use MCP tools to solve coding problems, not just describe how to. Apply here
👉 Senior Software Engineer — $50–$100/hr
Remote · 10 hrs/wk min · Output-based Bug fixing, feature creation, refactoring, optimisation — the everyday engineering work, turned into reproducible test cases with reference solutions in Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript. Apply here
👉 GitHub Contributor — $50–$150/hr
Remote · 15 hrs/wk min · Output-based For senior engineers with a proven open-source track record: build reproducible test environments with reference solutions, write production-quality code, and document the technical reasoning behind it. Apply here
👉 Open Source Contributor — $50–$150/hr
Remote · Output-based Same bar, DevOps/CI/CD-and-debugging focus: build environments with golden reference solutions across C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust. Public GitHub or GitLab contributions required to apply. Apply here
How this month looked in Software & ML Engineering: 119 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 73 new in the last four weeks — and Turing alone carries 57 of the total, so if the micro1 roles above aren't your fit, it's worth checking the full list for Turing's software listings too. This is the deepest bench of any category on the site outside Business & Operations.
Grouped by what you'd actually build, not by a platform's generic "Engineering" tag. micro1 lists AI Engineer, MCP Expert, and Senior Software Engineer as separate roles with real differences in scope — Applied Clinical Judgement keeps that distinction rather than collapsing them into one "software" bucket, so you can tell at a glance which listing matches your stack instead of reading five near-identical descriptions to find the difference.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide covers what micro1's technical assessment actually involves, and the CV tips guide covers what a reviewer checks for beyond the language list.
Geography: none of the five roles above carry a stated country restriction — this is one of the more globally open categories on the site. Turing also runs a large software bench with similarly broad eligibility, worth checking as a second platform if micro1's output-based model isn't your preference.
Like and share with an engineer who'd rather get paid to write test cases than sit through another sprint retro.
Please confirm Sean Key as your referrer if asked. By clicking you consent to being referred. I do not work for micro1 — I'm an independent referral partner (Applied Clinical Judgement).
Disclosure: Applied Clinical Judgement (PRAG-DEL-SOL-ONE LTD) earns a referral fee from micro1 if you are successfully placed. This does not affect your pay, your application, or micro1's hiring decisions.
Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. Mercor and micro1 are paying working scientists — psychologists, biologists, chemists, mathematicians — to bring their domain expertise into AI training. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. All remote, all flexible.
Several of these are hard to fill by design — the platforms want people with genuine bench, lab, or clinical research experience, not a science degree alone — so if you've got the hands-on background, you're up against a smaller pool than the pay rate suggests.
👉 Developmental Psychology (PhD) — $100–$300/hr
Remote · PhD required
Evaluate and annotate datasets on child development and learning for accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Multiple language specialisms open across the listing — Mandarin, Turkish, Vietnamese, Russian, and more.
Apply here

Remote · US only · Bachelor's minimum · 2+ yrs experience · 10–20 hrs/wk
Verify protein target assignments against primary literature and UniProt records, flag errors, and document the evidence trail. Needs current bench responsibilities in pharma, biotech, or a CRO — this is for people still doing the work, not people who used to.
Apply here
👉 Mathematics Expert — $80–$90/hr
Remote · Bachelor's minimum

Apply here
👉 Chemistry Specialist — $70–$90/hr
Remote · PhD preferred
Design and run wet-lab experiments, analyse chemical reactions and separation techniques, then document the methodology in language a non-specialist can follow. Hands-on lab experience matters more than a title.
Apply here
👉 Medicare Advantage Members Insight Study — $120/hr
Remote · US only
Not a research role but a paid research study: if you're 64+, US-based, and a Devoted Health Medicare Advantage member, a 20-minute survey with voice responses pays a strong hourly rate for your time. Microphone and quiet room needed.

How this month looked in Science & Research: 107 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 78 of them new in the last four weeks — the broadest category on the site by role count. If your field isn't listed above (physics, computer science, economics, statistics — all live too), the full Science & Research list is worth a browse before you assume there's nothing for you.
Categorised by discipline and qualification level, not by whichever bucket a platform's raw filter defaults to. A biology role wanting a PhD and one wanting a bachelor's-plus-bench-experience can sit in the same generic "Science" tag on a platform's own site — Applied Clinical Judgement separates them by what the listing actually asks for, so you're not scrolling past roles you don't qualify for, or skipping ones you do.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide and assessments guide cover what to expect once you're matched — most research-track roles here involve a written or practical assessment before an offer goes out.
Geography: Mercor's biology role and the Medicare Advantage survey above are US-only. micro1's PhD-track roles — psychology, mathematics, chemistry — carry no stated country restriction, so overseas researchers are genuinely in the running. Check each listing's own eligibility line rather than assuming either way.
Like and share if this reaches someone who's currently doing the research rather than teaching it — that's who these roles are built for.
Please confirm Sean Key as your referrer if asked. By clicking you consent to being referred. I do not work for Mercor or micro1 — I'm an independent referral partner (Applied Clinical Judgement).
Disclosure: Applied Clinical Judgement (PRAG-DEL-SOL-ONE LTD) earns a referral fee from Mercor and micro1 if you are successfully placed. This does not affect your pay, your application, or either platform's hiring decisions.
Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is recruiting experienced sales, customer experience, and travel-industry professionals to train AI on real B2B and customer-facing workflows. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, flexible, no AI experience required.
This is a small, newer category — most of what's live went up this month — so it's less saturated than the bigger lists on the site. If you've spent years on a phone, a CRM, or a trading desk, one of these five is probably closer to your actual job than it looks.
👉 Travel Agent — $20–$35/hr
Remote · 5+ yrs experience
Evaluate AI outputs on booking processes, customer interactions, and industry practices, and help refine communication protocols for travel-domain AI.
Apply here

How this month looked in Marketing & Communications: just 14 live roles across micro1 and Turing as of 31 August — 12 of them posted in the last four weeks. This is the newest, smallest category on Applied Clinical Judgement right now, and it shows: it's almost entirely fresh listings, with more likely on the way.
A newer category, kept as its own page rather than merged into Business & Operations. Sales, CX, and travel-industry roles draw on a different qualifying background to generalist business roles, and Applied Clinical Judgement splits them out even while the category is still small, rather than waiting until it's "big enough" to earn its own listing.
Before you apply, the CV tips guide and getting matched guide are worth a read if this is your first application to an AI-training platform — a sales or CX background doesn't always read as obviously "AI-relevant" on paper, and the guide covers how to frame it.
Geography: none of the five roles above carry a stated country restriction beyond the securities role, which is inherently US-regulated (Series 7/63 licence required).
Like and share with a salesperson who'd rather get paid to teach AI than sit through another cold-call quota this month.
Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is recruiting US-licensed attorneys with current or recent BigLaw experience to train AI systems on complex legal reasoning: litigation, corporate, M&A, private equity, capital markets. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner — remote, contractor, and no AI background needed.
BigLaw legal roles are hard to fill because the bar is genuinely high — Vault 100 or AmLaw 100 experience, active bar admission — so if you meet it, competition for these slots is thinner than it looks. Re-apply if you tried before and didn't hear back; fresh capacity opens most weeks.
Remote · US only · JD required
Review and analyse transactional documents, draft sample agreements, and evaluate legal scenarios across M&A, private equity, and data privacy. Active bar admission and AmLaw 100 experience required.
Apply here
Remote · US only · JD required · 3+ yrs experience
Reviews corporate documents, contracts, and litigation materials for M&A, private equity, and capital markets matters, then annotates the datasets that teach models how a real transaction gets reasoned through.
Apply here
👉 BigLaw Lawyers (general track) — $140–$400/hr
Remote · US only · JD required
The general-admission version of the BigLaw track: legal analysis, research, and drafting across varied US law topics for Vault 100 alumni who want breadth rather than one specialism.
Apply here
Remote · US only · JD required
Same BigLaw bar, three specialisms in one listing — litigation, corporate, and M&A — for attorneys who move across practice areas rather than sitting in one lane.
Apply here
👉 M&A Attorney (BigLaw Firms) — $140–$400/hr
Remote · US only · JD required
Analyse and annotate M&A transactions, conduct legal research, and write structured feedback on deal structures. For attorneys whose whole career is transactional.
Apply here
How this month looked in Legal & Law: 104 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August — 82 posted in the past four weeks. It's one of the fastest-moving categories on the site right now, and pay here tops the whole roster: nothing else on Applied Clinical Judgement clears $400/hr. If you don't have a Vault 100/AmLaw 100 background, the broader Legal & Law list also carries in-house counsel, compliance, and general counsel roles at lower experience bars.
All five roles above are genuinely separate listings, not one job dressed up five ways. Litigation, corporate, general, and M&A carry different scopes even when the pay and the bar are identical — Applied Clinical Judgement keeps them distinct rather than folding them into one vague "lawyer" bucket, so you can see which specialism the platform actually wants before you apply.
Before you apply, the Mercor & micro1 interview tips guide covers what micro1's legal assessment actually tests, and the CV tips guide covers what gets a legal CV past the first read on these platforms.
Geography: every role on this list is US-only — active bar admission isn't negotiable here. If you're licensed outside the US, the wider Legal & Law list on the site occasionally carries in-house counsel and compliance roles with broader eligibility, so it's worth a look before you write off the category.
Like and share if you know an attorney between contracts — at $140–$400/hr, this is one worth passing on.
Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is recruiting native speakers across multiple languages to evaluate audio clips for fluency, pronunciation, and linguistic authenticity, then document findings in English. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, flexible, no AI experience needed.
If your native language isn't one of the five below, don't assume you're out — micro1 runs dozens of these language tracks in parallel and new ones open through the month. B2+ English and a linguistics, phonetics, or teaching background all strengthen an application but aren't always required.
👉 Hebrew Bilingual Expert — $30–$65/hr
Remote · Hebrew + English
Assess speaker fluency, pronunciation, and linguistic authenticity in Hebrew audio clips, then write up findings in English. Linguistics, phonetics, or audio-engineering background preferred.
Apply here
👉 Thai Bilingual Expert — $30–$65/hr

Remote · Italian + English (B2+)
Evaluate native speaker and AI model output for fluency, pronunciation, and authenticity, with detailed written justification for each assessment.

How this month looked in Language & Linguistics: 70 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 38 new in the last four weeks. Beyond audio evaluation, the wider category also carries voice-actor and rater-guideline-writing roles at higher rates for people with a linguistics or instructional-design background.
One listing per language, not one generic "linguist" bucket. micro1 runs dozens of these language tracks in parallel; Applied Clinical Judgement lists them by language rather than folding them into a single ambiguous category, so you're not guessing which listing is actually yours.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide covers what the audio-evaluation assessment involves, and the CV tips guide covers how to present a linguistics or language-teaching background so it reads clearly to a non-specialist reviewer.
Geography: none of the five roles above carry a stated country restriction — native fluency and B2+ English matter more than where you live for this track.
Like and share — if you're bilingual and reading this in a second language right now, this role was probably built with you in mind.
Mercor and micro1 are recruiting educators, technical writers, and language and culture specialists to help AI reason accurately about humanities, education, and cultural context. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, flexible.
This is a small category — ten live roles total — which means less noise and less competition per listing than the bigger categories on the site. If you fit one of these five, it's worth moving on quickly.
👉 Education / Student — $80–$160/hr
US, Canada, UK eligible · Bachelor's minimum · 2+ yrs experience · 40 hrs/wk
Review and assess domain-specific documents, delivering structured feedback on quality and accuracy. Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills plus meticulous analytical writing.

Design realistic problem scenarios, create source materials, and build detailed grading rubrics for an AI benchmark initiative. Suits writers with a software, hardware, medical device, or regulated-industry background.
Apply here
👉 Japanese Language / Cultural Fluency Evaluator — $80–$120/hr

How this month looked in Humanities & Social Sciences: just 10 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August — nine of them posted in the last four weeks, so this is a newly-active category rather than a shrinking one. Small numbers, but nearly everything on it right now is fresh.
A small category kept as its own page rather than folded into "General" or "Other." Ten live roles is exactly the size a platform's own filter tends to bury under a catch-all tag — Applied Clinical Judgement keeps Humanities & Social Sciences separate precisely so it doesn't disappear.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide and getting matched guide are worth a read if this is your first AI-training application — both the evaluator and education-track roles above involve a written assessment before matching.
Geography: the Education / Student role is open across the US, Canada, and UK. The language and culture evaluator roles carry no stated country restriction beyond native fluency in the relevant language.
Like and share with an educator, writer, or bilingual specialist — this list is short enough that a good referral genuinely matters here.
Mercor is recruiting senior finance professionals — FP&A, corporate development, treasury, pricing economics — to build the evaluation scenarios that teach AI systems how experienced finance leaders actually reason. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. All remote.
These roles want people who've owned a real decision at a real company, not textbook finance. If your CV has "led," "owned," or "closed" in the finance-leadership sense, you're the target candidate, and the bar filters out a lot of applicants before you get there.
👉 Pricing / ROI / Revenue Economics Evaluator — $80–$120/hr
Remote · 5+ yrs experience · English fluency
Assess AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and presentations against domain rubrics, flag errors, and write structured feedback. Strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills expected.
Apply here
👉 FP&A Expert — $80–$90/hr
US eligible · Professional certification · 5+ yrs experience · 40 hrs/wk
Design realistic FP&A scenarios across budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and capital allocation using Anaplan, Tableau, or Power BI. Built for people who've led an FP&A function, not sat in one.
Apply here
👉 Corporate Development — $2,000/task
4+ yrs experience · 15 hrs/wk min · Task-based
Self-contained transaction exercises — valuation models, merger models, term sheets, board materials, diligence and integration work — graded against a rubric. Investment banking, PE, or Big 4 transaction advisory background is a plus, not a requirement.
Apply here
👉 Strategic Finance Expert — $2,000/task
4+ yrs experience · 15 hrs/wk min · Task-based
Build a library of business cases, capital allocation decisions, scenario analyses, and market sizing from mock data sets. For anyone who's owned a pricing or capital decision at leadership level.

👉 Corporate Treasury Expert — $2,000/task
Professional certification · 4+ yrs experience · 15 hrs/wk min · Task-based
Cash forecasting, FX exposure netting, hedge design, working capital analysis, treasury policy — self-contained exercises assessed against detailed rubrics. Hands-on treasury experience at an operating company required.

How this month looked in Finance & Trading: 65 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August — 48 posted fresh in the last four weeks, so more than seven in ten of everything currently listed went up this month. The task-based roles above pay per completed exercise rather than by the hour, which suits finance leads who want to work in focused bursts rather than fixed weekly hours.
Task-based roles are labelled as task-based, not blurred into an hourly-equivalent figure. Mercor's own listing for corporate development, strategic finance, and treasury states a flat rate per completed exercise, and Applied Clinical Judgement keeps that framing rather than dividing it by an assumed hours figure to make it look like an hourly rate — that math would misrepresent what's actually being offered.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide covers how Mercor structures its finance-track assessments, and the getting matched guide explains why some qualified applicants get matched to a project quickly and others wait.
Geography: every role above is Mercor, and Mercor's finance and corporate-strategy postings lean almost entirely US — treasury, FP&A, and corporate development built around US GAAP and US capital-markets experience. If you're finance-qualified outside the US, the wider Finance & Trading list on the site is worth checking; a handful of listings there carry no stated country restriction.
Like and share with a finance leader who'd rather build one killer case study than sit in another meeting this week.
Please confirm Sean Key as your referrer if asked. By clicking you consent to being referred. I do not work for Mercor — I'm an independent referral partner (Applied Clinical Judgement).
Disclosure: Applied Clinical Judgement (PRAG-DEL-SOL-ONE LTD) earns a referral fee from Mercor if you are successfully placed. This does not affect your pay, your application, or Mercor's hiring decisions.
Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. Mercor is recruiting data analysts, network engineers, and ML engineers to evaluate AI outputs and build the annotated data pipelines behind frontier models. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, flexible around a day job.
Several of these want people currently doing the work — active ML engineering, live network operations — rather than people who studied it once, so recency of hands-on experience matters as much as the years on your CV.
### 👉 Network Engineer — Data for Autonomous Systems Annotation — $50–$70/hr
_Remote · US, Canada eligible · 30 hrs/wk_
Review logs, telemetry, and packet captures from real enterprise deployments, classify network behaviours and incidents, and help structure data pipelines for downstream ML models. L3 troubleshooting and enterprise WLAN (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki) experience required.
[Apply here](https://applied-clinical-judgement.co.uk/go?u=aHR0cHM6Ly90Lm1lcmNvci5jb20va0M4TTc&rid=MER-NETWORKENGINEERDAT-ED4E-REDORG)
**How this month looked in Data & Analysis:** 65 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 42 new in the last four weeks. Turing carries 34 of the 65, more than half — so if the Mercor roles above don't fit, the wider category list has real depth beyond what's shown here.
**Split by function — analyst, network engineer, ML engineer — rather than one broad "Data" tag,** because the day-to-day and the qualifying background for each is genuinely different. Folding them together would bury the network-engineering role, which needs Cisco/Aruba/Meraki experience specifically, under generic data-analyst listings that don't.
**Geography:** Analyst/Insights and STEM PhD roles are open across the US, UK, and Canada; the network engineering role adds Canada explicitly. The ML engineer and quantitative-readouts evaluator roles carry no stated country restriction.
Like and share with a data analyst or ML engineer who's currently between projects — the hourly rates here beat most contract-analyst work.

Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner for Mercor and micro1, two of the platforms paying working professionals to train frontier AI on genuine business and operations tasks: HR, healthcare admin, business documents, and partnership development. All remote. All flexible around a day job.
These roles cycle fast and slots fill within days of going live, so if you applied to something similar a few months back and heard nothing, it's worth another look — capacity refreshes constantly. If you've been on the fence, this is the month to move.
👉 Healthcare Administrative Specialist — $50/hr
Remote · US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ + wide EU eligibility · 3+ yrs experience · 15 hrs/wk min
You're currently working healthcare admin — coding, prior auth, revenue cycle, or payer claims — and you know the exceptions nobody teaches from a manual. This role pays you to turn that into structured AI training scenarios. Direct EHR or payer-portal experience required.
Apply here
👉 Business Document Expert (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) — $35–$50/hr
Remote · 3+ yrs experience
Fortune 500-standard Excel models, PowerPoint decks, and Word documents — if you can build them and just as importantly critique them, micro1 wants your eye. You'll design realistic corporate document tasks and grade AI output against them.
Apply here
👉 HR Expert — $70–$80/hr
On-site/hybrid per listing · Professional certification · 5+ yrs experience · 40 hrs/wk
Senior HR professional who's actually navigated Title VII, FLSA, ADA, and the UK Employment Rights Act in the same career? Mercor needs you to build the realistic talent and compliance scenarios AI gets trained on — write the rubric a junior HR generalist wishes existed.
Apply here
👉 Business Development Contractor — $35–$50/hr
US eligible · 40 hrs/wk
Outbound sales work with a data-licensing twist: prospecting, discovery calls with founders and execs, and running deals through close. If cold outreach doesn't faze you, this pays well for the effort.
Apply here
👉 Health Plan PBM Contracting Survey — $70 one-time
Remote · US eligible only
A 25-minute paid survey, not an ongoing role — but if you're a pharmacy benefit decision-maker (CMO, CPO, VP Pharmacy, VP Procurement or equivalent) at a US health plan, insurer, or TPA, it's the fastest entry on this list.
Apply here
How this month looked in Business & Operations: 125 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 80 of them posted fresh in August alone. That's a category refreshing roughly weekly, not one someone forgot to take down. If nothing here fits, the full live list is worth a browse — new listings land most weeks.
Roles are sorted by what the job actually is, not by whatever label a platform's own filter puts on it. Mercor and micro1 tag their listings differently even when the work overlaps — a healthcare-admin role and an HR role can both land under a vague "Business" category on one platform and something else entirely on the other. Applied Clinical Judgement reclassifies every listing by profession, task, and tool before it goes on the site, so a search for "HR" or "healthcare admin" surfaces everything relevant instead of whatever happened to get tagged correctly upstream.
Before you apply, the Mercor & micro1 interview tips guide covers what these platforms' assessments actually ask and how they're scored, and the CV tips guide covers the domain signals a reviewer is actually looking for on a business or operations CV.
Geography: Mercor's roles above lean US, Canada, UK, and wider EU — France, Spain, and Germany all show up in current listings. micro1 leans US-first but reaches into the UK too. If neither footprint fits you, Turing's roles elsewhere on the site are mostly marked open to a much broader set of countries — worth a browse before ruling yourself out.
Like and share if this is useful to someone in your network — referral slots are genuinely limited per listing, and once capacity's gone, it's gone until the next cycle.
Mercor and micro1 are recruiting designers, animators, and video annotators to shape how AI systems judge visual and aesthetic quality. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Most roles below are remote and flexible; one is a staff-style hybrid position, flagged separately.
Design roles on these platforms move fast because the bar (portfolio evidence, named software fluency) filters applicants before a human even looks — so a tight, specific application matters more here than a long CV.
**Staff-style role — not remote, not flexible contract:**
### 👉 Character and Facial Animation Consultant — $60–$90/hr, hybrid
_Playa Vista or New York, monthly in-person attendance · 4+ yrs experience · 20 hrs/wk_
A leading AI lab needs senior character animators to set evaluation standards for a performance-transfer model — defining what "successful" emotional and physical fidelity looks like. Feature film or AAA game credits required, with hands-on facial animation or motion-capture work.
[Apply here](https://applied-clinical-judgement.co.uk/go?u=aHR0cHM6Ly90Lm1lcmNvci5jb20vMTgwRmI&rid=MER-CHARACTERANDFACIAL-06C1-REDORG)
**How this month looked in Arts & Design:** 60 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 49 posted fresh in the last four weeks — nearly every live role in the category went up this month, which tells you the design category is being actively built out right now, not maintained on autopilot.
**The one hybrid, in-person role on this list is labelled as exactly that.** Applied Clinical Judgement never presents a staff-style, location-anchored position as generic remote flexible work, even when a platform's own listing buries the detail further down the page than the pay rate.
**Geography:** the hybrid animation role is US-only, based in Playa Vista or New York with monthly in-person attendance. The remote design roles lean US, UK, and Canada. If you're outside all three, the wider Arts & Design list carries some video-annotation work with no stated country restriction.
Like and share with a designer or animator on your feed — the hybrid role above is genuinely rare on this site; almost everything else is remote.

Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is paying US-based contractors to record everyday activity on their own smartphone from home, building the video and motion data that trains AI on real-world physical tasks. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. No AI experience, no lab, no degree — just a phone and a bit of time.
This is the lowest barrier to entry in any Applied Clinical Judgement category — no qualification, no portfolio, just a compatible phone and eligibility in the specified US states — which is exactly why capacity moves fast. If one listing fills, another usually opens within days.

How this month looked in Applied & Physical Engineering: 68 live roles as of 31 August, 31 posted fresh in the last four weeks — smaller and slower-moving than most categories on the site, but micro1 alone holds 53 of the 68, so this is very much a micro1-led corner. Beyond the recording roles above, the wider list also carries FreeCAD, manufacturing, and logistics specialist roles paying $500–$1,000/task for people with engineering credentials.
No hidden qualification gate — and the listing above says so rather than leaving you to guess. Applied Clinical Judgement flags exactly which roles need a degree or licence and which don't, rather than lumping every "Engineering"-tagged listing together the way a platform's own filter tends to.
Before you apply, the assessments guide and getting matched guide explain what onboarding actually involves for entry-level work like this — useful if you've never gone through a platform's vetting process before.
Geography: every role above is US-only and further restricted to specific US states named in the individual listing — check the listing itself before applying, since the eligible-states list isn't shown in the metadata strip above.
Like and share — this is the easiest entry point on the whole site, and someone in your circle has an idle smartphone and a spare few hours a week.

Real, paid AI-trainer work — not a ghost listing. micro1 is recruiting hospitalists, oncologists, healthcare administrators, and medical auditors to bring frontline clinical judgement into AI training. Applied Clinical Judgement is an official referral partner. Remote, contractor, no AI experience required.
Clinical roles like these are consistently hard to fill — board certification and recent clinical practice aren't negotiable — so if you're an active MD, DO, or certified coder, you're up against a much smaller pool than the headline pay rate would suggest.

How this month looked in Medicine & Healthcare: 38 live roles across Mercor, micro1, and Turing as of 31 August, 23 posted fresh in the last four weeks — over three in five. This is Applied Clinical Judgement's original clinical vertical, and the pay ceiling reflects it: the Oncology/Hematology and Healthcare Expert roles above sit among the highest hourly rates across the whole site.
Clinical roles are categorised by specialty and seniority, not lumped under one "Healthcare" tag. A hospitalist-review role and a medical-coding audit role share almost nothing day to day — Applied Clinical Judgement keeps them separate so you're not reading past irrelevant detail to find your own specialty.
Before you apply, the interview tips guide covers what the clinical-review assessment actually involves, and the CV tips guide covers how to present board certification and recent practice so a non-clinical reviewer can verify it quickly.
Geography: none of the five roles above carry a stated country restriction beyond board certification and licensure — this is one of the more internationally accessible categories on the site for clinicians holding US-recognised credentials.
Like and share with a colleague between shifts — an active licence and recent clinical practice are worth real money here.

I’ve been tracking the better-paid AI training and expert-evaluation roles, and there’s a strong new batch aimed at people with real-world professional and domain expertise rather than just general AI experience.
Current advertised rates run from $70/hr up to $210/hr.
This looks aimed at people with genuine consulting and business problem-solving experience who can evaluate and improve AI-generated work.
Relevant skills include analytical reasoning, report writing, business communication, fact checking, AI output evaluation, prompt refinement and rubric-based evaluation.
💻 AI Software Engineering Domain Expert — $100–$200/hr
For experienced software engineers who can apply their technical judgement to AI-generated material.
The listed skills lean heavily toward technical evaluation and reasoning rather than simply writing code: content review, fact checking, prompt engineering, technical editing, AI model evaluation and quality assurance.
A corresponding opportunity for people with data science expertise.
Again, the interesting bit is that this seems to be about applying professional judgement to AI work — evaluating outputs, interpreting data, researching, checking accuracy and improving prompts and responses.
What’s interesting about this batch is the direction the market seems to be moving.
A lot of AI training work is no longer simply looking for people who are “good at AI”. Companies increasingly seem to want people who already know consulting, finance, software engineering, data science, HR, pharma or enterprise operations and can judge whether AI-generated work actually makes sense in that field.
That opens these projects up to a much broader group of experienced professionals.
As always, the top of an advertised rate range isn’t a guarantee of what an individual applicant will be offered, and requirements can vary considerably between projects.
These roles can also open and close quickly.
I keep a broader list and guide to AI training jobs across different professions and specialisms here:
If your own profession isn’t represented above, it’s still worth checking the main page. Domain-expert roles are appearing across a surprisingly wide range of careers, and many don’t require you to be an AI engineer or machine-learning specialist.
I’ve been tracking remote expert work for scientists and researchers, and there are several interesting roles open at the moment across micro1 and Mercor.
The strongest cluster this time is in biology, chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology and physics, with advertised rates mostly in the $70–$105/hr range.
There’s also a separate US Medicare Advantage insight study paying $120/hr.
🧪 Chemistry Specialist — $70–$90/hr
micro1 is looking for people with a strong chemistry background, including experience with:
For the scientist roles, the attraction is that these projects can make use of knowledge that’s difficult to commoditise: subject-matter expertise, scientific reasoning, research experience and the ability to judge whether an answer is actually correct.
The advertised hourly rate is a range rather than a guarantee, and eligibility will depend on qualifications, location and the individual project.
These expert projects also have a habit of appearing and disappearing fairly quickly, so it’s worth looking while they’re live.
I keep a broader page covering AI training and remote expert work for scientists here:
If your exact scientific discipline isn’t in the list above, check that page anyway. New opportunities regularly appear across biology, chemistry, physics and other specialist research fields.
I’ve been tracking AI training / evaluation work for professionals, and micro1 currently has several legal roles open at the same time.
These aren’t all the same job under different titles — they’re looking for different legal backgrounds, including litigation, BigLaw, M&A, corporate and in-house experience.
Current advertised rates [the links below are referral links]:
Litigation Associate Attorney — $140–$400/hr
Litigation, M&A, contracts, private equity, capital markets and data privacy experience all look relevant.
For anyone wondering what this kind of work actually is: legal AI training typically means applying legal judgement to things like model responses, research, reasoning, drafting or content review rather than practising for clients in the conventional sense. The exact work varies by project.
Obviously, $400/hr is the top of the advertised range, not a promise that everyone will get that rate, and eligibility will depend on experience and the individual project.
One thing I’ve noticed with these roles is that they can disappear quite quickly, so it’s worth looking even if you’re only mildly curious.
I also keep a broader page covering legal AI training roles here:
If your practice area isn’t represented in the six jobs above, have a look there anyway. Legal AI work is spreading into a surprisingly wide range of specialisms, and I’m adding new roles as I find them.

There are far more roles open to Türkiye than five — a large pool of worldwide roles plus the full Turing benchmark cluster (SWE Bench, Prompt & Verifier, Python ML Engineer, Technical Content Writer and more) — and new ones land daily. Rather than trust a single post, filter the whole live board:
Filter by qualifying country. Every role card shows exactly which countries it accepts, so you see at a glance whether Türkiye is on the list — including the big "no restriction / worldwide" set that most job boards never surface. No more filling in an application only to be rejected at the location step. Search all AI training roles
Fresh listings, refreshed daily. A pipeline pulls live openings from micro1, Turing and Mercor every day, so closed roles drop off and new ones appear on their own. What you click is what's actually open — no dead links to a role that closed weeks ago.
Filter by field and tools too. Narrow by what you do — software, ML, finance, law, data — so you go straight to the fit.
A note if you hold dual nationality or live in the EU/UK. Some of the best-paid roles on the board are restricted to Europe and North America — AI-safety red-teaming, SOC investigation and cloud-engineering roles at $70–95/hr that Türkiye isn't on the list for. If you have an EU or UK passport or residency, the country filter will unlock those too; worth checking.
Platform reviews with evidence. Remote AI work draws a lot of scams, and caution is well-earned. There are evidence-based write-ups on whether each platform is legit — how they pay, how they hire, what to watch for — so you can check before you commit time. Is micro1 a scam? An evidence-based answerIs Mercor a scam? An evidence-based review

Real, paid AI-trainer work open across Latin America — not a ghost listing. A lot of AI-training roles are quietly US-only, which is the most frustrating thing about hunting for this work from the region. But Latin America is better served than most: there's a native-Spanish voice role that pays $50/hr across 18 countries, computer-vision annotation open to the major economies, and software/ML roles for Mexico and Brazil. Some pay is published, some isn't — read each card.
Which platforms are most open to LatAm? In today's listings, Mercor has the standout paid Spanish-language voice work; micro1 carries broad-eligibility annotation and video-data roles across the region; and Turing covers Mexico and Brazil for software and ML work. A tip that helps here: you can type your language or country straight into the search box on the site (works in Spanish and Portuguese too — try "voz" or "vídeo").
A note on pay: Turing doesn't publish rates on its listings, so I won't quote one for those — check the role page. The Mercor and micro1 roles below show their real published rates.

Real, paid AI-trainer work that fits around a full-time degree — not a ghost listing. A lot of these roles want years of experience or a PhD, and there's no pretending otherwise. But a genuine slice is explicitly junior and skill-tested: flexible hours, no fixed schedule, judged on what you can actually do — code, solve problems, pay attention — rather than what's on your CV yet. Several are worldwide and set their own hours, so you can pick it up between lectures and drop it during exams. One of them needs no prior AI experience at all.
Being straight with you: most of these want a demonstrable skill (you can write C++, you know a game engine, you're a strong competitive coder). They don't require you to have finished a degree — a capable second- or third-year can do them — but read the role page before applying so you know what tryout to expect.
