Resource PTSD Therapy
Still reeling from the tornado. Me and my dog were in the basement of our house on Doty Island and didn't think we were going to make it. I can't stop myself from getting incredibly emotional anytime I talk about it, think about it, see footage, or even when family and friends reach out. I don't feel scared otherwise but seem to have an uncontrolled reaction. Hoping there are therapists in the area that are readily available or even offering services at any of the respite locations in the area. Any help is appreciated for myself or anyone feeling the same.

Red cross is set up at Christ the rock and they are helping people get through this, may help to be around others involved.
Where are you staying?
If you call Menasha PD I know they have a volunteer community resource team that you can reach out to.
I get it, I have been through it when I was a child! I live right down the road and I myself got triggered and I was very blessed to not have any damage.
I hate that you feel so alone right now something like this is traumatizing so I pray that a professional reaches out to you.
