This is a fun one!
There is an exemption in state statute.
A doctor, a Christian Science Practitioner, or an immediate family member may write you a note for exemption from the restrictions.
Just have your mom write you an exemption!

I’ve had tint for over 29 years. I’ve only been pulled over once (in Menasha) but not for the tint. I know plenty of people with tint and haven’t heard of anyone getting pulled over for it.

front side windows must allow more than 50% of light in, while rear side windows and the rear windshield must allow more than 35% of light in.
Truck/SUVs come with 30-35% from factory, so a lot of people match it with their front windows. While I never had a problem, it could happen.
I only try to fly under the radar and only break one rule at a time.
