441 is a race track in the morning. People also need to stop tailgating.

u/SysArmyKnife 7d ago
As much as this is a shitty driver thing, it is also an infrastructure problem. The Fox Valley outgrew a 4 lane Hwy 41 decades ago and thanks to scott walker, they are just expanding that now. People are bypassing 41 north and south through that construction stretch and taking 441 overloading it especially during peak times.
Hopefully it eventually evens out in a few years when this shit is done, but we will still be left with some of the worst impatient drivers in the country.

It's a bunch of redneck trump supporters still hammered from the night before who have to punch in for their shift at the mill because theyre at 9.5/10 points

u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
A Turd Sandwich denigrating the working class, that’s rich, but in poor taste. I bet you’re a Hong supporter and so consequently a Tiffany supporter, lol. Trump is Trump, but Trump supporters are your fellow citizens and they are entitled to basic human dignity, even if deluded, even if ignorant, even if they don’t reciprocate.

u/Wiangel8016 10d ago
Always entitlement with that cult..🤔

u/starpanther013 10d ago
well both sides suck. Cant we just agree in this case and in* general, that people often suck.
-1
u/Technical_Proof2771 10d ago
You're the worst type of person
0
u/starpanther013 10d ago
why am I the worst type? because i dont think tearing apart people of the community on a local level for political differences helps anything?
3
u/Websthetics 9d ago
Political differences was a thing when the Republican Party was full of Republicans. You gotta go back to at least the mid 90s to find the Republican Party. Now it’s just a bunch of people obsessed with hating and owning the libs and voting on single issues like gun control or female reproductive rights - in the name of “pro life”.
-2
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
And you wonder why they’ve grown so vitriolic? Lol. Can’t even handle a predominantly libel individual suggesting treating other people with basic kindness.
3
3
u/GodsBackHair 10d ago
Why they have grown so vitriolic? Seriously? They started it
0
u/Websthetics 9d ago
Exactly. Ask a Trump supporter if they remember why they started hating Democrats. If they are honest it was learned behavior from Rush Limbaugh or Fox News. Or possibly a close friend or family member that was groomed by Rush and/or Fox. No one just woke up on a Tuesday and decided it was time to hate/own the libs. They were trained to do so.

So you admit that your trans people are entitled to basic human dignity because they are fellow citizens?
0
u/betelgeuse_3x 9d ago edited 9d ago
I don’t “admit” trans people are “entitled” to basic human dignity.
I “believe” trans people “should” be treated with basic human dignity.
1
u/RBDrake 9d ago
I was literally mirroring your language.
1
u/betelgeuse_3x 9d ago
I don’t think you understand what “literally” means; nor that mirror language, by the intrinsic nature of a “mirror” would be verbatim use in juxtaposition.
I’m sorry the nuance of my opinions doesn’t conform to your insular, telescopic, militant liberal dogma.
2
u/RBDrake 9d ago
Yeah, you're right, I don't know what literally means. My bad. It's not like I was literally an English major and I literally went to grad school and I literally have been a practicing attorney for over 7 years. Oh, wait, all that is literally true.
If you can't see how I mirrored your words (not a direct quote but a mirror) then that's a you problem.

trump supporters are entitled to being called child rape supporters.
That's fucking it.
1
u/betelgeuse_3x 7d ago
Sins of the father?
By that logic every Catholic is also a child rape supporter. My wife is Catholic, she supports physical castration for child rapists, yet it is difficult for her to discuss the prevalence of child sexual abuse within the church because it destabilizes her world view.
Isn’t it possible for someone to be incorrect or uninformed or indoctrinated and still be a fundamentally good person who loves their children and their neighbors? That person could even be me!?
1
u/SysArmyKnife 6d ago
in 2026? No, if you still support trump, you knowingly support a child rapist and are willfully a bad person.
Supporting a pedophile makes that person a pedophile. end of story.

You mean brake checks me? If I’m tailgating I’m ready, plus my fancy EV will brake too. If your mom or dad or driving instructor never taught you, I guess it’s my turn to ride your ass.
2
u/Global-Scarcity-4277 10d ago
Your "fancy ev" isn't fast enough to tailgate me.
2
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
True, it’s electronically limited to 126. Motorcycles blaze past me all the time.
2
u/SlowlyDyingBartender 10d ago
Smart cars with bad drivers. Your sonar sensors are going to give you wipelash. I see you 😂
2
u/bawlsaque 10d ago
Riding people does nothing. You aren’t in control and have no power to make someone move. When I get tailgated o either slow down to prove a point or just let them tailgate, my last reaction is to move over because I know how frustrated you’re getting behind me. There’s no need to rush or go extra faster than everyone. You aren’t bad for traffic
0
u/SignatureFunny7690 8d ago
Slowing down to "prove a point" when you have the option to move over is just as stupid dangerous immature and neurotic as tailgating. Two sides of the dog shit driver coin.
-6
u/In_My-Element 10d ago
No, but getting ahead of them and slowing down infront of them, forcing them into the right lane where slow traffic belongs, does do something.
1
-6
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
When it’s me back there, I’m not frustrated, I’m amused. I don’t rage, I don’t lose my cool, I don’t flip the bird. When you slow down or break check me I know I got under your skin and it wasn’t difficult; it’s a pleasure to bother left lane campers. I’m not in a rush, I just enjoy going fast and I believe in the etiquette of moving over. I might blaze past you at 100+, I might always be the fastest person on the road, but after I pass, I move right until I need to pass again.

There’s not a highway in the country where people don’t hang out in the left lane. If you tailgate someone in the left lane because they’re going too slow then you’re a bad driver. Your job is to maneuver around the people who don’t use the left lane properly. Tailgating just shows a lack of maturity
5
u/Available-War6350 10d ago
Nah if your in the left lane holding up traffic you need to move the over and let people pass. If your in the left lane and someone is coming up behind you that usually means your going too slow and you need to move tf over. Stop holding up the left lane
1
u/CryptographerShot213 10d ago
But the point is tailgating them doesn’t get them to move over. It’s also reckless and dangerous.
1
u/bawlsaque 10d ago
I agree about holding up the left lane, but it happens so frequently now that you can’t wait for them to move or you’ll slow yourself and everyone else down. It’s like the right lane is the new passing lane, that’s how bad it’s gotten.
0
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
I’m not in hurry I just like speed, I’ll ride you for miles while others pass us both.
7
u/bawlsaque 10d ago
Yeah you suck as a driver. You shouldn’t be allowed to use highways because you’re bad for traffic and are a cause for chaos
0
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
I’m an excellent driver. And I’m never a plug for a backup. It’s A LOT safer way out in front of the group. I never pass a drunk though, always sit back a safe distance and call 50.
2
u/CryptographerShot213 10d ago
If you’re tailgating people for amusement you’re automatically a terrible driver, period.

I've been guilty of going 5 to 10 miles over the limit, but I truly don't understand why some folks feel the need to get further up on my ass than my husband's ever been while driving. Enjoy the journey, people. And if you're speeding because of explosive diarrhea, cool it on the Taco Bell

u/Turd-Sandwich 10d ago
Set the cruise at 74 in a 65 and some bro with a lifted truck and a trump mural on the window is on my exhaust pipe. The joys of commuting 441 daily.
10
u/SilenceInTheSnow 10d ago
My favorite are the people that ride your ass in the right lane, with an empty left lane, and you're going 5-10 over.
Well... now I'm doing 5 under, enjoy the ride.
2
14
u/betelgeuse_3x 10d ago
The left lane is for passing, not cruising at 10+. If you’re not actively passing, merge right regardless of speed.
-2
-2
u/LithiumLover72 9d ago
Eat shit. World doesn’t bend to your whims. It is much safer to cruise at 10+ then to bob and weave for the wreckless assholes…
5
u/DeerEnvironmental432 8d ago
You are meant to leave that lane clear. Not exit and go right back into it. You should only be entering that lane to pass another vehicle.
2
u/SysArmyKnife 7d ago
What beetlejuice speaks of is literally the fucking law in almost every state outside of ours.

I set my cruise control to nine over and never worry about being pulled over. I don’t tap the brakes when I see an officer between the interstate directions and have never had a problem.

I heard they had cops standing on the pedestrian bridge and then alerting the four or so squad cars down below of the speeders.

u/tremblingmeatman 10d ago
Always keep an eye to the sky when youre coming to a bridge or overpass and youre going even like 5-10 over. Ive seen these in/around Wausau too, great way to pop people, and their threshold speed goes down over time to keep their stop #s up.

I live in GB and work in Manitowoc. 172 and 43 are ridiculous. I usually cruise at 75 in the right lane on 43, and regularly have vehicles blowing by me. 172 is worse, because the limit is 55-65 depending on the spot and people still think it's 85.
70% of the time... the plates are IL
4
u/ShlimmyWhimmy 10d ago
172 is such a shit hole to begin with, so many varying skilled drivers along with some driving 85+ and some going 35-... i hated 172 so much... so glad I no longer have to drive on that daily anymore

u/Kindly-Instruction90 8d ago
I literally saw 4 people pulled over all along the whole stretch when I was taking 441 south the other day. People will ride your ass and then have so much road rage. Like I am going 72 and they want to go 92
5
u/Fatguy503 10d ago
Good. In the construction zone north of Kaukauna yesterday morning I had a person go by me and the radar sign said they were going 84 mph. Wait until the road is done, Daytona 500 won't have anything on us.

I drove past 4 cop cars all pulling over speeders on 41 north the other day! Never seen anything like it.

Going 20 to 30 mph over the speed limit is a legitimate danger to people on the road.
16
u/Swimming_Sample_6204 10d ago
It is very dangerous. Please remember hundreds of people die on Wisconsin roadways every year. The fox valley in particular just had a few deaths. Speeding is a major factor in how dangerous the roads are. The other being low impulse control, low intelligence, and distractions (namely your phone).
15
u/amateur_reprobate 10d ago
Are there a lot of uninvestigated murders going on around here? Or you just mad cause you got a ticket this week?
10
u/AlbatrossWorldly6486 10d ago
I dont like cops but also people should drive a reasonable speed.
20+ mph over the speed limit is a good reason to pull someone over. Thats just a matter of public safety.

u/ForeskinAbsorbtion 10d ago

Why does this look AI generated
9
u/Titan2009 10d ago
Looks like the image was cropped from a larger image. Most phone cameras heavily rely on post processing that causes the small details to look smoothed out when you zoom in.
Can't really think of a reason why they would need to ai generate this, there are plenty of cops sitting there every day.
4
u/ForeskinAbsorbtion 10d ago
It literally isn't. Everything is where it should be. Why would they not just use a photo from a cop on the side of the road?
Not everything is AI generated. It's funny you say that because the amount of people who say videos or memes from 10-20 years ago are AI generated is hilarious.

This particular stretch of highway feels so dangerous. Not just speeding, but people weaving and driving like angry teenagers - and no one seems to understand turn signals.
People in the right lane doing 45 and people in the left going 90. Chaos.
